Golden Kamuy, Vol. 3 (3)

Let's face it, anything that holds your kids attention, for how ever long that might be and they are actually READING is always an A+ in my book!

It's a great story. Came in with no damage at all, artwork looks amazing in person, ink was printed smoothly and the story is AMAZING!

The story is excellent as always, but I'm only giving it four stars because of Viz's translation. Honestly, quite a boner!

This third installment in the manga series opens with Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi Sugimoto captured by rogue soldiers from the 7th Division who are on the hunt for the same missing gold as him. Fortunately, his Ainu girl companion and a notorious ex-con escape artist are on hand to rescue Sugimoto. Unfortunately, the plot grows ever-convoluted, as more antagonists and potential allies are introduced, including a legendary bear-hunter, and a master swordsman.The volume has the same odd range of tone as the previous two, from extreme graphic violence to locker-room humor to cute animal stuff, and of course, plenty of recipes. I loved the first book in the series, liked the second one slightly less, and this one less again. I'm not sure if I'm just not made for the episodic rhythms of manga storytelling or what, but I started to lose track of all the characters. I'll try one more in the series, but that might be it for me.

A really good read. I liked that there was information about how to survive in the wilderness (should you need this information ever!). The artwork is excellent.

Nothing much to say apart from GREAT and would recommend buying the manga volumes.

Ha sido un gran descubrimiento Golden Kamuy, ojalá lo hubiese conocido tarde para leer todos los tomos seguidos. Se hace eterna la espera entre uno y otro. La historia me parece muy original y la relación entre los protagonistas cada vez me gusta más. Solo espero que sepan terminarla como se merecen.Respecto al envío esta vez llegó el tomo perfecto, una extensión aceptable para el precio que tiene. Recomendado.

La historia continua y se torna mas interesante con la aparición de nuevos personajes.Bokki !!
