Misunderstood description
I actually read the description, but still got it wrong. My bad! I looked at the switch I wanted to replace with a dimmer and saw a black, white and ground wire. Therefore, I assumed the white wire was the neutral wire. Wrong! For an outlet, that would be correct, but for a switch, both the black and white deliver power. Power comes in on one, and out to the fixture on the other when you flip the switch. If there was a neutral wire, it would have been spliced with another at the back of the box. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't wire this switch correctly as it needs the neutral to keep just enough power flowing to the switch to maintain the wifi connection for the smart functions. Customer service from the seller was helpful in this regard. When I get a chance, I may try to hook this dimmer up without the neutral wire, to see if it can still be used as a "dumb" dimmer switch. I gave it 4 stars as it looks to be a well made product, with good customer support. However, I can't comment on the function since I was unable to install it correctly.

Nice looking smart dimmer, quality buid
ELEGRP is a better quality manufacturer what is confirmed by UL certification, so it is a safer device than many other "less known" companies. Great functionality enabled by ELEGRP app to function as a smart device connected via 2.4 GHz WiFi. Manual dimming adjustment is by rocker switch on right side. Works with Google as well, I added it to Google Home and can operate it remotely or even write a small script to turn it on, off, or change brightness, all pre-programmed. Comparing to other models, this version with rocker switch for dimming doesn't work as dimmer in Google Home just a smart switch.Recommended.

Better than most.
The ELEGRP smart dimmer light switch works better than others I have tried. I tested a few different generations of LED bulbs with this switch and the switch was able to dim them without flickering. The dimming is gradual, and it has a wide range of brightness with LED bulbs. After powering up the switch it was almost immediately recognized by my SmartLife application on my iPhone. There are lots of control settings and they all seem to be available for Automation and Tap-to-Run in the SmartLife app. This switch is not a direct replacement for a 3-way single pole double throw switch. If this switch is replacing a traditional 3-way switch you will need to change the wiring at both switches to make it work and you will need to know which switch box has the load and which switch box has the power source. The installation instructions do try to explain it.The ELEGRP smart dimmer switch is easy to install as a single-pole dimmer switch and it has more smarts than other switches I have tried. I also appreciate that it is marked as UL certified.

Easy install and setup
Easy to install for someone with electrical knowledge. The instructions are clear, albeit in small print. Once installed, there are several steps required to pair the switch with Alexa, none of which is complicated. Your phone needs to be connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi (the instructions are very clear that the device will not work with a 5 GHz network). You will need to download the Elegrp app and create a login (to connect it to Alexa/Google Assistant). During the pairing process you select your WiFi network and supply the login credentials for your network. You can now go through the steps to add the switch as an Alexa controlled device. We use an old phone (without a SIM card), connected to a separate network on our router, for all our IOT devices and for the myriad apps that seem to be mandatory for every appliance/widget nowadays. I have turned the "Guest" network on my router into an IOT network that I use for all my cameras and devices. This way if there a vulnerability in a device that is exploited, it is restricted to that network and my computers and tablets are not accessible. Once a device is connected to the IOT network, which has internet access, I can access that device from my regular phone (which is connected to my standard WiFi).Review for: ELEGRP Smart Dimmer Light Switch DPR10, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Dimmer Switch Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, Single Pole/3 Way, Needs Neutral Wire, No Hub Required, UL and FCC Listed, White, 1 Pack

Nice dimmer switch
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is it's a little thick. It can be tricky to get into the box once the wires are connected. Easy instructions and simple to use!

Upgraded and loving it.
We have been slowly updating our light switches to this paddle style vs the toggle. It is just something that we fell looks better and after 15 years in our home, things were just dingy. There are plenty of versions of switches that fit the rectangular switch plates but if you are picky, take note that these are almost concave in appearance. Meaning, the paddle does not have a "crease" in the middle like some versions of paddle control switches. In addition, this switch comes with a screw less plate and will clearly match the switch. We had two switches in the junction box which required a double gang switch plate and a second switch. Since I wanted everything to match, I did purchase a separate switch plate and another switch that was also an Elegrp brand. I am glad I did because the finished product looks phenomenal on the wall. The dimmer has sensitive touch controls (which mean that the light dims/brightens simply by running your finger on the switch). It is also controllable via the ap... and through voice commands on our Alexa.I am "old school" to some extent and while I can operate the lights with the switches, I have to remember that I have options. I have to remember what name was given to the particular light but it does work with voice commands. I have not yet tried to set the switches to operate like a timer. That is next on the list.Overall, I think these switches LOOK higher end than a toggle, they have lights in them that tell you when the switch is on. (They're just cool...light switches kicked up a notch). They look like a million bucks and are worth the little extra they cost over basic paddle switches.
