Don't buy this item...this is useless after using only one day half of the light stopped working...better to buy some known brand rather than wasting money on this cheap quality product which doesn't last atleast a day...

I bought this 15m Gesto yellow rope light before Diwali, hoping for a bright festive glow. At first, it looked great—120 LEDs per meter gave strong brightness and the color was warm. But after just a few weeks of use, problems started showing up. 🔍 Issues I Faced - Early LED Failure: Within 3 weeks, 2 LEDs stopped working. This is a clear sign of poor build quality. - AC Powered Weakness: Since it runs directly on AC mains, it has no external driver. That makes it vulnerable to voltage fluctuations and heat buildup. - Heat & Durability: Long hours of use cause overheating. The strip isn’t designed for continuous operation. - Difficult Installation Removal: I fixed it with strong 3M tape. Now if I want to replace it, removing the strip will damage the wall paint and plaster. - No Surge Protection: Even though I used a V-Guard stabilizer, the strip still showed signs of stress. Budget strips like this don’t have proper resistors or surge handling. ⚡ What Could Be Better - A DC-powered COB strip with external branded driver (Syska, Wipro, Meanwell) would last much longer. - Proper heat dissipation channels and surge protection should be included. - Warranty support should be clearer—budget brands often ignore replacements. ✅ Final Verdict This product is okay for short-term festive decoration, but not for permanent or daily use. If you want reliable, long-lasting lighting, go for 12V/24V DC COB LED strips with branded drivers and aluminum channels. They cost more upfront but save you from frustration later.
