Is this item dishwasher safe?

We have washed it in the dishwasher without any problems.

I have not tried to grate nuts in this but I very much doubt it!

I have been looking for something to finely slice cabbage. Would this work?

I am not sure that it would work well as you’d have to cut the cabbage up to put it in the top. I use a Zulu’s Gourmet Mandolin to slice cabbage

Does this item julienne vegetables or just grate them?

It makes the best vegetable julienne. I am the third generation in our family using and loving it. Much simpler than any electric one, simple to clean, eco friendly too! It has two knife sizes available, also slices.
