Very effective and dependable product from a major, respected brand name. A little dab'll do ya! Good hold, looks natural. A little spendy but you don't need to use much or buy it very often.

A very tiny dab of this stuff (less than the size of a dime) holds hair all day. Hair doesn't get hard/stiff. Can comb when dry to remove wet look, if desired.

This is great for my son. Holds his hair in place. It’s not greasy but is very sticky on your hands. The tube does have some of the fiber cream that sticks on the outside after you use it. Seems more like it leaks just a little but not all over the place. It’s still the best we’ve used out of everything.

I've been using American Crew Forming Cream (in the green jar) for years and recently decided to give Fiber Cream a try. I like Forming Cream because it leaves my hair feeling soft and imparts a subtle shine, but it's also not the strongest hold, and many days I'd have to add a layer of hairspray on top of the Forming Cream to get my hair to stay in place. Fiber Cream seems to be the answer for those who need a slightly stronger hold than Forming Cream but don't want to go in the direction of a hard-hold, high-shine gel or pomade.It's important for Forming Cream users to understand that you only need to use about half the amount of Fiber Cream. If you make the mistake I initially made -- using the same amount of Fiber Cream that you'd typically use with Forming Cream -- then you'll be left with a very stiff, crispy head of hair. A very small amount of Fiber Cream goes a long way. I nearly returned my tube of Fiber Cream because of this mistake, but decided to give it a second try and am glad I did.Fiber Cream seems to give me the typical look I'd get with Forming Cream, with a better all-day hold. Going forward, I plan to use both products at different times: Fiber Cream for workdays and dressier occasions, and Forming Cream on weekends or casual days. I'm glad to see American Crew offering both products.

[ABOUT ME]I have curly hair (3a curl pattern) of medium-to-long length (e.g., when stretched out, my bangs go down to the tip of my nose). I'm always experimenting with new ways to manage and style my curls.[HOW THIS PRODUCT WORKS]As I've sought to perfect my haircare routine, I have been a user of American Crew hair products for several years now. I've tried everything from the tubed gels to the tinned creams, pastes, etc. This product hits the sweet spot for me, combining the moisture and shine of forming cream with the thickness and structure of fiber.[HOW I USE IT]After showering and patting my hair from wet to damp, I like to first apply a cream-based curl activator followed by thoroughly working this product through my hair and then blowdrying with a defuser. I find this product is exceptional in its ability to help set my curls into thickly bunched, tightly bound and polished curls while minimizing frizz.[SIZE MATTERS]My only complaint is that I end up going through ~2 bottles of this every month. That said, this may be highly specific to my use-case and hair length, as longer hair will require more product no matter what product you use. Additionally, the bottle's size (100mL) is the perfect size for packing into a carry-on.[CAN'T BEAT PRICING]I live in NYC where items like this tend to be overpriced and locked in a display case at the likes of walgreens / cvs / target / etc.Amazon almost always has this product available at a lower price, sometimes as cheap as $12, but always cheaper than my local retail options.

I purchased this item because it is listed as a medium hold and I was hoping my hair would look and feel natural, but it holds like my maximum hold pomade. My hair stays in place, but I do not like the stiffness in my hair.

This is a much stickier gel than the jar-style fiber. I love that it doesn't leave white streaks in my son's hair, and I find it easier to use than the jar-style. The only negative is that it doesn't hold up for the day, so it may not work for someone who wants to have nice hair all day.
