Pretty smells

Included in the 2 bundles were some cute little notes, including Legalize Patchouli and an adorable little "love note" from "Nick". (see my photos) Very cute and made me smile. I just had to light one up right away to test it out. Patchouli is my favorite fragrance and I even wear the essential oil as a cologne. So I know the smell. To me, I am sorry but the incense does not smell like patchouli. It smells just like any random incense. I have used incense for decades, but never used the rope type until tonight. Tonight, I tried 2 ropes, one right after another. They light easily and burn well. Each rope burns for about 15 minutes. The smell is strong and sweet and was successful in covering up cooking odors from tonight's dinner. I will continue to burn these ropes and enjoy them, but it is a bit disappointing that they do not smell of patchouli, as expected. Maybe I just got a weak batch. In my opinion, it is still a good product.

Smells good until you light it, then once you light it, it smells like piss. Burning piss. Complete waste of money.

I love incense and burn several kinds. I was excited to try this since it's patchouli and one of my favorite scents. The rope feels soft and powdery and is very easy to light but the item doesn't smell like patchouli, it smells more like sage when burning. It also burns harsh, which means you get more of a smoky smell that a gentle fragrance. It's a really cool burn that doesn't last very long. I'm wondering if I can add oil to these since I won't burn them again because of that. I really wanted to like these especially since they came with a handwritten note of thanks. The seller is awesome and shipped quickly but my nose needs something else. Sorry.

Meditation/ grounding

A little goes a long way with patchouli. These are kind of designed for an incense dish where you could hang it but my flat dish worked fine.

The rope incense burned fine, short but acceptable. It did NOT smell like patchouli, more like the artificial rose smell. Perhaps they were stored near each other, but this definitely wasn’t patchouli.
