Come to find out there is a clear cover on the needle and it’s not very noticeable unless you’re up close to it. Took it off and it’s playing beautifully. The instructions should show that on there so nobody makes the mistake of accidentally putting that on their vinyl because I did that and I hope that didn’t damage it. Volume in the video is halfway up so it can get pretty loud for my small room but that’s perfect for me. Might not be loud enough for a loud household or a big room but that’s okay with me. The Bluetooth does connect from my phone but the sound is super low compared to the vinyl. I have it on max both on the phone and the record player. So that’s a bit of a downside. Although I have my own Bluetooth speakers so that doesn’t bother me much. I haven’t tried out the usb or aux features because I don’t need them but it’s nice to have them for the future.
