The Jig That Could
I had debated with myself about buying this jig for some time, being leery over it being plastic, and was afraid it would move after clamping. Well, I was proven wrong, and found that after it was assembled correctly, it became one of the best jigs in my shop. When you clamp it down, it does not move one iota bit, and it is very accurate, just as the advertising claims. It is constructed with a thick, (in some places, close to 1/4"), tough plastic, and it is very rigid. It is also larger than what it looks to be in the photos. It uses the same tough 1/32" rack teeth segments, as the larger, and more expensive, Incra positioner's do.When you buy it, read the instructions, and whatever you do, watch the included video. The instructions are very detailed, and show you how to assemble it, and the video shows you how to use it correctly. You will be totally surprised with what it can do.If you want a jig, that can be used throughout the shop on different machines, and provide you with accurate cuts each time, then this is for you. As the title says, it's the jig that could.

Precision Repeatability
A very accurate positioning tool. Makes it easy to adjust a fence, and to repeat that setting if needed. Precision is only to 1/32", though - which is really plenty for most woodworking tasks - but I'd prefer 1/64", anyway.Mine is mounted to a base plate, which is in turn mounted to the table of a JDS Multi-Router. It allows very accurate positioning of workpieces for the routing of mortises and tenons. I bought it specifically for that task, but it would also make an excellent router table fence positioner.

This thing makes woodworking more fun
I actually spent some time setting up the jig to zero out at my router center and then fixed it there (not exactly what the Incra instructions suggest) and I love it. My fence is always parallel to the miter track, and the jig is incredibly accurate. I've used it sevral times now, and I just set the fence based on what I calculate it should be, and it's dead on every time. It's saved a tremendous amount of set-up time and is a joy to use. I did find if I'm not careful I can lock it down (severely)crooked, but I think I've gotten past that (if you're close, it locks down perfectly). Overall, I haven't used an Incra product yet that hasn't really made woodworking more fun (the gaurenteed square and incra rules are worth it - things finally fit together right).

Amazing little fence
I use this fence with an extremely cheap craftsman saw table. It makes a huge difference. If I need a slab 3 inches long I can cut just once knowing that I will have an exactly 3 inch long piece of wood. I remove the fence regularly to use a crosscut sled. The good thing is that zeroing the fence right after installing it only takes a few seconds, and it always comes perfect. One thing thought, when locking the fence at your desired length make sure that it is not crossed. You can do this by slightly wiggling the top to make sure the teeth go into their respective grooves. I absolutely love and trust this little gadget. Incra makes amazing equipment.

Probably OK but not what I thought it was ...
Unfortunately I didn't read the description of this item sufficiently closely and assumed that, in addition to being able to operate in 1/32" increments it also had some kind of rack and pinion arrangement that would allow continuous fine adjustment ...... but, of course, it doesn't and that big knob on top that I assumed was for making fine adjustments is just for locking the jig into one of the fixed positions ...So it's my fault but since it just doesn't do the one thing that I really need it to do I will be returning it.To be honest, while it does appear to be quite well made, $59.99 seems expensive for a couple of pieces of hard plastic. This is making me wonder whether I should actually go ahead and order the 17" LS Positioner which is probably what I really need - that is $169 and I don't mind paying that if it really does everything that I need but I worry that something that "only" costs 3 times as much as this jig may also turn out not to be rather less than I was hoping for.

Fantastic accessory for the router table
I've been considering this for a while, and finally bought one. Incra makes some fantastic tools, such as their rules, so I figured this would be a good one, too. It is.There are accessories available for it, but I made the fence and clamping jig using the instructions provided in the manual. I've got that mounted to my Bench Dog router table. As a test, I decided to rout a 3/4" dado in some scrap. The only bit I have that wide is a 3/4" plywood bit, which is more narrow than 3/4". I made a groove, moved the jig 1/32", and made another pass. It was perfect. It allows accurate fence positioning that is repeatable. That repeatability really makes routing multiple parts at the router table much easier.I've not yet made any of the joints in the included manual, but the book is very clear on how to do the basics. I've got a (cheapie) dovetail jig, but I'm looking forward to trying the Incra jig.It also comes with a DVD, which I watched before assembling the jig. It shows how to make some of the more common joints, which helps make the manual more clear.
