Excellent, detailed anatomical and scientific explanations, and so can be difficult to digest. The book explains the mysticism in western terms, so one can grasp the theory, however the mysticism aspect will remain until one experiences it through yogic practices. Useful for yoga teachers and for those who want to bridge the gap between esoteric practice and current western thinking. It requires effort and patience to grasp meaning, but that is not the fault of the writer, its more to do with my own limitations, where I am starting from, so its been a slow read. I would not have it any otherway as it is packed with new learning yet to happen for me! Its exactly what I was hoping to unravel.

So far I have learned moola bandha as a component of other techniques. It's actually quite useful to study it as a separate technique. This has enhanced my practice and understanding of the techniques have learned so far.

This is a very good monograph on a very narrow subject, and therefore invaluable to those interested in that subject. It's just rubbish if you're not interested and would not, I suspect, stimulate interest in the subject, so it's not a beginner's or a casual reader's book. But if you want to know about bandhas, buy the book

Very good book! Much more than i expected, im sure i will be using it often because it has descriptions on exercises we can do to activate moola bandha.Great purchase!

This was recommended to me. It is a very clear book, easy to read and helps to make sense of the bandhas and all else involved.

I had no idea what this was when I ordered it but that's the point isn't it ? If you are interested in Eastern mysticism you may find this revealing.
