So far so good
I have mixed feelings about Neewer flashes; they can do well in sessions but have sorts of little issues. This is my second flash from Neewer; the first was the Q3 which was a great flash til it fried out!! Ive been using the Z1 with some random test shots(two are in this review, the chicken ornament)and I love how the light has softed and everything is lit up nice and spread evenly. It came with two batteries which is PERFECT because Ive learned the hard way its always good to have two batteries for flashes especially if you do events or do long solo sessions. I cant comment on the battery life but from what Ive heard from other reviews, when you use this at max power it wont last as long. It does have a model light which I havent used yet, comes w the basics(the dome came from a separate order) extra battery and carry case. For my canon80d the flash DOES NOT slip off from my hotshoe like some photographers have mentioned. Its not heavy and I feel its easy to put on and use. The lock feature seems to work fine so far for me. I would use this for off camera flash as a filler light or to fill in.Final verdict, so far so good…plan to use this as my on camera flash light. For the price I paid its so worth it. I wouldnt pay much more than I what paid for; its easy to use and Im impressed with the light. I would totally consider buying a second Z1 by Neewer. Great job Neewer!!!

Impressive Opion
I am not a professional photographer though I use it on my Canon 5D mk IV. This was a replacement from a previous aftermarket flash. I will say that I am very impressed with this one. I have only used this flash for a handful of times. The rechargable batteries was the selling point for me. Learning the controls was a little different for me. I basically put it on the camera and shot away. The pivoting and turn head has worked perfectly for me. It is very quick to recharge after the first picture and is constant with the exposer of the picture whether I am shooting at 24 mm or 105mm. This was the issue with my previous flash. It has a firm fit to the the camera and the balance feels good. It has a round flash compared to the rectacular flash that I am used to. I saw very little to none at all with area coverage. The bonus option is the constant light option with brightness levels. I have not used this option, but can see where this could brighten up some shadows on you subject. The only issue I have with it is does not have a built in difusser. No pull up white piece of paper to redirect the flash. Though I primarly shoot with the flash pointing up, a difusser would be nice. A great alternate than a more exspense Canon flash.

Great Bang for Your Buck
75ws plenty of power. Fast recycle time. Easy to use! Plenty of shots from the battery. Manual mode is great. I use with Nikon Z6II. HHS is great all the way to 1/8000 sec. I purchased 2 extra batteries and have shot 4 major events with absolutely no problems.

It’s a good flashlight
I use it rarely because I’m not a professional photographer.

A Great Flash Unit for the money
For the money, this Neewer unit is a great deal. The functionality, ease of use and multiple features allows me to do shoots without dragging heavy flash units around with battery packs. Works great with my Canon Mark III and Mark IV.

Stop working in less than six months
I got this flash at the end of January by the end of June of the same year. The flash stopped working, very disappointed specially after they spend a lot of money on it.

Wonderful speedlight! BUT…
I love this speedlight because it’s fairly easy to use, has multiple modes, and is really great at moving around in different directions. The rechargeable battery via USB is a game changer.HOWEVER! My huge con is that the speedlight gets loose at the hotshoe mount, even when it’s locked and connected. I shoot fast moving sports where I need to move with the action. Just in one 2 hour show at ringside, the flash fell off the camera twice.Other than that, it’s absolutely solid. Highly recommended if you’re not frantically moving around to get “the shot”.

Great Quality and Value
Works just like Godox's V1-C and comes with two batteries at a lower price than the V1-C.The Z1-C is far more durable and capable than my old Cameron WH700 that would over heat and drain batteries in seconds, when used outside at full power.I'm also impressed with power and even spread of light that comes from the Z1-C.If Neewer continues to make quality photography lights at great value, they might have a repeat customer here.

So far she's perfect!
Still a bit too early to tell, but so far it's exactly what I was wanting. My version came with a metal hotshoe, as I've seen some people say they got plastic. The device is powerful as a speedlight, fast recycle, and has a continuous light feature that is minimal even at max power. I don't recommend this for video light in case you were wondering. In terms if build and quality, it feels really good to the touch. I don't see any issues with the specific one that I got. It feels like the other popular brand out there, but I don't know how long it will last.If I have any issues with it, I will post an update to this review.

Two-battery set to increase working time
I normally prefer flashes that use AAA batteries since I have many rechargeable ones at home. When it comes to lithium ion batteries there are also many cases where the battery is unique and spares cannot be bought. This kit comes with two batteries so that at least solves part of the problem. To make matters even better, Neewer does actually sell these batteries and the charger as well, so it isn't a dead system for the foreseeable future. I do wish the batteries would be USB-C rechargeable though instead of requiring a external charger for it.Note that these Z1 flashes are often available in both single battery sets or double battery sets. Depending on if you need multiple batteries for longer sessions, you can save a few bucks by getting the single battery kit. This flash is fully featured and works great. All the features you want to, with an assortment of various wireless or off-camera trigger options. There is also a built-in modeling light which can really help focus in low-light situations. According to the documentations (and not written in the listings) this flash is also compatible with magnetic AK-R1 accessories--which is a Godox V1 accessory set. This can indicate that this flash is possibly made by Godox, and very likely, which is still a good indicator as both Neewer and Godox have pretty good general track record for their products. The build isn't always perfect though. I've had the chance to try a few Z1 till now and the color of the modeling lamp don't always match with one another, meaning when you are using multiple units to illuminating a subject it can look a little wonky. The experience using it is also great. Admittedly I mostly use manual settings including with the wireless trigger features. The Z1 works as both master/trigger and slave both on 2.4GHz wireless and optical. That said, the TTL features do work great as do the strobe flash. I have no complaints about any of the features, which is helped by the fact that the UI on the Z1 is quite user friendly. Add some reading of the manual and you'll really be able to play with all the different features.Shooting, the flash strength is more than adequate and the recharge time is nice and quick. There's nice flexibility with regards to the angle adjustments and zoom adjustment, but it does lack the typical diffuser or bounce card that you find in many conventional flashes. I have also not personally felt any huge notable difference for or against the round light profile vs the standard rectangular one. There is one thing that I'd point out, and that is that the locking mechanism isn't the usual screw-operated lock but instead is a twist-to-position one. It takes a little getting used to at times because there could be very little space between the locking mechanism and the camera, making it a little cramped to operate. Unlike the traditional screw-lock which can be operated from any direction, the twist-lock has two placements for fingers only.Overall, it's an excellent flash that does command a higher price point for a Chinese branded flash, but pretty justifiable considering the feature list. Just do be aware that it is heavier than typical, and also does not feature any built-in flash modifiers that can slide out from the side of the lens.

Both me and my Nikon fell in love with it. Round head flashes are really something!
The media could not be loaded. Verdict: 5⭐This is the kind of flash any seasoned photographer should get to try at least once. And own. I will not get into the details and differences between round and rectangular flashes school of thought, but they are worth analyzing before making the move.In a nutshell, with a round flash, think "Hollywood in 1950 with the paparazzi using the round disposable flashes" lighting quality. It is fascinating.*** The good 👍✅ Overall Quality: The engineers at NEEWER must have been allowed to go as far as they wanted in terms of design and robustness as this flash has a power-on self-test sequence that is impressive. I show it in my video. I know it is childish, but I really love to watch the flash moving back and forth when the startup sequence initiates the mechanical checks. I have tried to enhance the sound it makes in my video so that you can both see and hear what happens when you power on this flash.✅ Performance: In the second part of my video, I do continuous photography with synched flash. I know at some point the flashes seem to be a bit out of sync in the video, but that's my phone's camera that is not able to handle the speed and intensity of the flash. While round flashes are not "technically" destined for high speed flash, this one handles it particularly well.✅ Controls: This flash interfaced truly instantly as soon as I connected it to the hot shoe on my DSLR. There is also the possibility to use the flash as a secondary flash, and for this purpose, all the settings can be adjusted manually. Big bonus: there is actually an advanced user guide that is printed in a super cool format.✅ Accessories: Aside from the super cool user guide, 2 batteries are provided, the charger is also provided with a USB-C (the battery charger end) to USB-A (the power block that plugs in the outlet)*** Comments🌐 I STRONGLY recommend you do as I did and keep the box it arrived in. While the carrying pouch may be nice for short trips, please take a look at one of my pictures where the empty shipping box is shown. It has padded foam compartments for each part of the flash set and would be perfectly in its place in a rigid waterproof case. This is the first time I see this, and I'm not going to pass on the occasion. My standards⭐, Usually because I cannot give "0"⭐⭐, Good idea but poor execution.⭐⭐⭐, Good idea, good execution, but..⭐⭐⭐⭐, That means that I think this product is between good and great.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, I don't rate those often. This means "excellent" or "above-and-beyond".
