Very sturdy & convenient
I've been using this almost 2 months now, since I came home from the hospital after a motorcycle accident that severely broke my leg (tibial plateau open fracture, as well as ruptured patellar tendon, to be exact). I am non weightbearing for 3 months. The hospital sent me home with a bed pan, it it was cheap and flimsy. This one is strong and sturdy and has held up well. I used it frequently the first 2 weeks out of the hospital. Now I only use it on long car rides when it is too inconvenient to get me out to use a bathroom. I just put a bed pad under me to protect the seat, just in case, pull my pants down, put the bed pan under me (with a bed pan liner with an absorbent pad inside), do my business, then get rid of the bed pan liner and remove the bed pan. It is seriously very easy for me (I'm 38 and in otherwise OK shape), very convenient, and it even works great in the car when my 5-year-old has to go but can't wait for a bathroom! It has held up well so far, with no cracks or any signs that it is caving in. For reference, I am 5'7" and 175 lbs.

Good quality but seems small
My hubby is a big man who has difficulty getting to the bathroom. He uses a wheel chair but getting out of his recliner and into the wheelchair sometimes takes too long. So we've started using a bed pan in emergencies. This one is definitely easy to clean. But it seems small. It covers only the back end. So urinating while using this is not possible. If your loved one has difficulty holding urine while using the bed pan this may be an issue. As stated, my hubby is a big man and although this is plastic, it seem to be able to hold his weight while in a sitting position in the recliner.

They don't last long
Fairly comfortable but only lasted for about a dozen uses before the top cracked. I weigh 210 lbs.

uncomfortable
My wife had been given the bed pan that she had been using in the rehab center that she had been in last year. It was a good one, and comfortable, but could not find another one like it; the seller apparently only deals with hospitals, nursing homes and rehab centers. But the bed pan started cracking near the relief area in the back of the bed pan. The relief area is a depression in the top of the back of the bed pan that appears to be there to prevent the bed pan from pushing up on the backbone near the sacrum area.So I bought this YumSum bed pan, which is similar in appearance to the bed pan that my wife had been using, but doesn't have the relief in the top of the back part of the bed pan, and is much less contoured than my wife's bed pan. In fact it is mostly flat on top.And it hurts her; it is much less comfortable then the one she had been using. Apparently the contour and the relief depression in the top of the back part of the bed pan helps people who do not have much padding on the buttocks, which is the way my wife is built. My wife's comment was that her bed pan that she has been using feels like she can somewhat sink down into it, probably mostly because of the contour. She has used this YumSum bed pan, so I can't return it, so it will hit the junk pile as soon as I find a bed pan that is much better contoured, and works for her.So be aware that this YumSum bed pan is not contoured very much, is pretty ridgid and hard, is mostly flat on top, and does not have the relief depression in the back of the bed pan as my wife's good bed pan has.I'm going to try to find a more contoured bed pan at one of the local medical supply stores like Rite Aid, Drug Mart.
