My husband bought this after I ordered the Swedish version. He rates the Norwegian Grammar book very highly as it explains what Duolingo omits. Highly recommended.

This book is about 20 years old and some grammar points are a bit outdated, although this mentioned where applicable (e.g. examples using 'De' for 2nd person formal subject pronoun (you), and; absence of 'han' for 3rd person singular non-reflexive object pronoun (him)). However, it is still a good reference book and is highly recommended for Norwegian learners from A1 (beginners) level and onward.

Brilliant book, really explains the intricate workings of Norwegian grammar with many examples. I used this book with a fairly strong grasp of the language anyway but used this as extra revision and refinement for my bergenstest so I'm not sure how useful this book is for beginners. However the book does cover all sorts of concepts (those that are easy and difficult) and uses many examples to illustrate the points made. My only real critcism is that it doesn't give a detailed pronunciation guide but then to learn a language you shouldn't just rely on one source or package. Well worth the money, definitely recommend it!

This book is brilliant and so helpful. I'm doing a Norwegian (Bokmal) coarse on line and this book explains how the grammar works and has been such a help. I would recommend it for beginners.

This is an excellent reference guide for anyone wishing to learn Norwegian. Logically organised and well presented, it provides an excellent ":at a glance" source.

Great content for learning Norse. The breakdown of verbs by tenses is really helpful, plus lots of direction on grammar. I would buy this book again if I needed a study text to get beyond basics and the usual holiday phrase book stuff.

ok for what it is and does a job but if you wnat to learn a lanuage you will need a proper language course
