This unit just so happens to be almost the same size as the step up PS I wanted to use. When Soldered together they both fit into a single 18650 battery case! Perfectly! See pics. Its like it was made to do this. NO modding required, AT ALL, its amazing, really made my project alot simpler. Anyway this doesn't have a battery balancer so U better make sure when u 1st use these the batteries have just come out of the charger. The batteries I chose for this project are Samsung 18650's that have protection circuits themselves which I highly recommend or U may have some immediate problems or down the road problems, ya know while ur sleeping and a battery explodes and burns ur house down. USE CAUTION for goodness sakes. Review: One worked one didnt - I had to order 2 more of these because the first two I ordered awahile back, one worked great and one didn't work at all. So Ive ordered 2 more.. since these are Soo cheap I didn't try to dispute or return the defective one. The one that did work, worked great and made my project completely successful.. but the second one frizzed out when I plugged it in for the first time. I just wish I had tested it before I installed it into my project which I had to completely rip back apart because this one didn't work. 3 stars because one worked well. 5 stars of you wanted to replace the broken one. This unit just so happens to be almost the same size as the step up PS I wanted to use. When Soldered together they both fit into a single 18650 battery case! Perfectly! See pics.
