HOLACA Stand for Nest Learning Thermostat, Holder for Nest Thermostat 3rd/2nd Generation (White)

This stand is nicely weighted and seems to be really well made. It came with screws to secure the thermostat and now sits prefectly on our shelf with the charging cable neatly running out the back. The base is made of a flat but very grippy material, so the unit doesn't move in the slightest even if being used manually. Very happy with this purchase, especially at half the price of an official one!

Originally, I thought this was a scam as I couldn't see how the thermostat itself fixed to the stand (I had screwed the black 'base' to the wall with 12V supply) and expected the thermostat to plug into the stand. Then I realised it needed the 'base' taken off the wall, and bolted to the stand, and all was clear.Someone mentioned missing bolts - mine were there (3, in fact, but only needed 2).Someone mentioned being disappointed by missing USB charger and cable - but just use one of the dozens of micro USB cables in the drawer and multi-USB outlets.

This product is very similar to the original Nest thermostat stand and personally I feel it's definitely worth saving yourself some money and getting this one instead. As others have said it does not include the USB charger and lead but you already have these with your thermostat so you don't need the extras. Overall I'm very happy and would have given it 5 if only it had included some instructions..You can google search the original Nest stand instructions and download the pdf, as it's exactly the same steps you need to follow with this stand. Basically1. you pass the charger lead through the stand's hole2. Connect the lead to Nest's base3. Attach the base with the provided screws to the stand4. Click Nest front onto Nest base5. Connect lead to charger and you're done!If - like myself - you had a technician do the Nest installation you might feel completely baffled by the term "base". If you just had your Nest lying around somewhere in your home till you buy a stand, the base is already attached to your Nest thermostat. It's the black plastic back where the charger lead connects. So if the back of your Nest Thermostat is black than the base is on the Nest Thermostat. You can pull it out if you put your finger in the whole and pull firmly. DON"T get tempted to unscrew the 4 little screws on the back of your thermostat, this is NOT the way to remove the base. The base is just clicked on your thermostat. After removing the base you just follow the steps mentioned above and voila you have placed your thermostat securely on the stand.

I was somewhat weary about buying a non-official stand for my Nest Thermostat, but the guy who installed the thermostat mentioned to me that these ones from Amazon were just as good as the official ones so I decided to go for it. It's really heavy and sturdy - no risk that it's getting knocked over by my cat or toddler! Feels like a premium product but obviously half the price of the official one!

Just had my Nest Thermostat installed and this stand was a great option for value compared to £30-£35 for a "official" version. This looks great, does the job brilliantly, comes with the screws you need. Only thing is no cable but they've called it out clearly in the product details. You can use any USB cable (non Apple) you might have lying around the home and it would be compatible.

The media could not be loaded. good quality product with easy assemble steps. took only 2 minutes. amazing!

Considered buying the Nest own brand but glad I went for this one. It fits perfectly and looks good. Really good value.
