DEWALTDCD798B 20V MAX Brushless 1/2 in. Cordless Hammer Drill Driver (Tool Only)

My old drill was shot! This was reasonably priced and works well.

On a few initial test runs, the tool appears to work OK. I do note it was a old/new stock item as the manufacture date on it was two yrs past, 2022. DeWalt honors the warranty regardless when it was built.

I believe I returned the drill because I already had one. I ordered it by mistake but they’re great drills. Dewalt is awesome.

I own several Dewalt battery powered devices. They are a good value, especially on sale. You can't go wrong with the product, especially brushless.

This is a decent compact drill for a homeowner. Should be able to handle what you throw at it, even the occasional masonary tasks as long as you don't go crazy. Understand that this drill is mid tier on the DeWalt product lineup ahead of brushed drills but below XR drills. Also pay attention to who the actual seller is (the actual seller can be different depending on when you look). DeWalt will most likely honor the warranty if not purchased from a DeWalt authorized seller. The approved list is available on DeWalt's website. The DCD799 is smaller and more powerful but at the time this was a better deal.

Hammer drill at a good price. Tried A couple of holes in cement and that work like a charm. I’d recommend this drill to any homeowner that does DYII projects on the weekend.
