Main light is super bright for 2.5 hours, which is pretty good or run it on low power for nearly 1.5 days. The side lights are cool too and the multitude of options work well. The first annoying issue is the recessed USB socket is too tight for most of my USB plugs which have wider housings. They won't plug in deep enough to make contact. I have to use the very short supplied lead.Second problem is the strong magnet on the back/base. It means the damn torch is constantly getting pulled out of my pocket attached to keys and suchlike before letting go and flying across the room or the street.I'm temped to perform some surgery on the torch with my Dremel to fix these.

The build quality feels good as it has an aluminium body, which also feels very sturdy.Operating the torch is very straight-forward, as it has two buttons on the top, one for the front/main light and the other for the small rear light.Powering on is just a quick double click, and then you can scroll through the various brightness settings by clicking the button once each time for a lower brightness setting.The rear light also has five modes, but these modes change the colour rather than brightness, i.e., white, UV, red, red flashing, and red and blue flashing when pressed once in sequence.The icing on the cake is the magnetic base of the torch, which could come in really handy when you need to have your hands free while having the torch attached to a metal object.The designers of this torch have really thought of everything, with the belt clip attachment, keyring attachment, magnetic base, and, of course, all the various torch functions.I would highly recommend this little torch.

Product was as described AND did function correctly (I originally reported as defective - but after the seller's response clarifying button operation, I was able to get the item to work as described).Using this flashlight,The brightest mode will be turned on if you Long press, and off if you let go, and the main light can only be used by *double clicking* the MAIN LIGHT button. The same goes for the SIDE LIGHT.Is it ONLY possible to switch on the main light and the side light with a DOUBLE CLICK (and it to stay on).IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to use in conventional torch mode, you need to double click either the MAIN LIGHT button OR double click the SIDE LIGHT button for the torch to stay on.A single click of either button illuminates the torch in bright white mode - but goes out again as soon as you remove pressure by removing your finger - but I now believe this is how the torch is designed to operate - and is correct and not defective). Thanks to the seller's message to clear that up.It is true that the button to illuminate the MAIN LIGHT had to be held down to keep torch illuminated (as soon as you removed pressure on the MAIN LIGHT button, the light went out). Same was true for the SIDE LIGHT (or rear light - opposite side of the device from the MAIN LIGHT). The torch does stay on in any selected mode, if you use a double click to turn on (instead of a long single press). Once turned on, you can cycle through modes using a single press AND a long press to turn off. Once you have selected a mode using double click to turn on, and then single clicks to cycle through selected modes, the torch remembers the last mode used when you turn off with a long press. When you turn back on using a double click, it comes on in the last mode selected as expected (depending whether you click the MAIN LIGHT button for front bright lights OR the SIDE LIGHT button for rear multicoloured lights).It did work correctly out of the box - and does cycle through the various coloured modes. The SIDE LIGHT does appear to get stuck on WHITE mode (using single long press, but other modes are accessible via double click of the SIDE LIGHT button. So I was able to activate and test all the coloured modes including testing the UV MODE (from other review comments, it is true that the UV MODE is quite a dim purple light, but it does fluoresce hidden ink features on new plastic UK bank notes that I tried it on - not the use I bought it for, but does appear to worked at described, not a bright 'BLACK LIGHT' but OK for checking UK bank notes at least).I did originally report that neither the MAIN LIGHT or the SIDE LIGHT (rear light) would stay on, once you remove you finger from the button, but this is solved using a double click of either button.The device seems well made (sturdy and good quality materials), the MAIN LIGHT is very bright (so much so, you can feel the warmth of it when you direct the beam from it on to your hand). So WARNING "do not look directly at the illuminant to avoid visual damage!!!" is very adpt, because of this, I would not recommend it for use by children (responsible adults only). Also, optional belt clip function seems strong and reliable (but untested as yet). This is an update to my original post, no need now to return or for a refund, as item does work as described (which was clarified by seller's response to my initial response, when I couldn't get it to function correctly myself).Worked out of the box as described (button operation not immediately intuitive, but makes sense once you get the hang of the need to double click to turn on and stay on). Came charged, and also simple to recharged with provided short USB type C cable via C type USB port (which has a substantial rubber cover to aid water protection, which is a little awkward to reinsert after use, but does fit back flush back over the port with a firm push). I haven't tested either the waterproofness or robustness f the build, but I have no reason to doubt it would perform adequately in more extreme outdoor camping situations. The belt clip seems strong, sturdy and secure (but because of the small size of the device, the belt aperture is between 2cm to 2.5 or 3 to 3.5cm max in length, depending how you measure, and depth 3 to 4 mm - so might struggle to clip as securely onto more substantial wider or thicker belts, say wider than 2.5cm - but fine on a standard man's leather or faux leather narrow belt. Does have the ability to attach to a keyring, and certainly small and compact enough for that or even suitable to pop into pocket or pouch (easily fits into jeans 'coin' or pocket-watch pocket - which is surprising for how much functionality and power/brightness you get in such a compact devise).I would recommend this product for adults (but not children - it is not a toy), the brightest modes are very bright (which is good, and as described), but caution and care is required to avoid temporarily blinding yourself or others with this item, so do not look directly into MAIN LIGHT on any setting or SIDE LIGHT (rear light) on brightest setting. It worked out of the box, and as others have commented, the button operation is not obviously intuitive and takes a little getting used to, but I believe is correct and functions as it is designed to work.I would have happily given 5 stars, if it wasn't for the initial confusion over the button operation, item does come with a small instruction card in multiple languages, but text is on the small size (I couldn't read even with glasses, and I had to use a magnifying glass, so I missed the specific double click instructions). It states both:1. long press turn on, lose hold turn off&2. Double click turn on, single click swift work modes. long press turn off.FOR CLARITY, it would have been helpful if the double click - to stay ON, had been described in the products main link page description, also I think replace with text below would be clearer on small instruction card:1. Long hold to turn on, release hold to turn off&2. Double click to STAY on, single click to switch modes. Long press to turn off (saves last mode used).

The media could not be loaded.  A fantastic tiny little torch that would be great for travel. I was planning on popping it onto my car keys, but it's fairly heavy despite its size. The main light is super bright at its highest setting. The reverse includes a belt clip and what is referred to as the 'side light' in the instructions which includes static and flashing red and blue lights. The blue light acts like a UV light and can demonstrate the luminescence in my LOL OMG doll! The top of the torch is illuminated red when charging and changes to green when fully charged. I did find the operation of the buttons a little confusing - even as a I write, I can't remember which needs a double press, and which needs a long press... I will get used to it though ;)

This is absolutely the best style of flashlight in this class, and this model is the brightest with great running time on a charge. Drawback is it doesn't work with 25a charging, but still very fast charging for the amount of live use time.It also has the crucial red/blue flash patterns, and a fairly decent black light for detecting counterfeit bills (and scorpions if they're close). It has the bottom magnet, and the standard on-off-change mode patterns for the switches.Carry confidently in your pocket WITHOUT change or keys in same pocket as the light cover will scratch if it's dragged (transparent "lens" cover) because it's bigger than usual. This is both a blessing (for brightness) and a curse (scratches) but of all this style of lights I've purchased this is the best.My picture shows my daughter's living room in a full power outage... it's pretty groovy.

Super bright,super small and super handy.accidently went thru the wash about 3 weeks ago.dried it out,recharged it,and it seems to be OK.pretty impressive.
