Sometime the pressure gauge need to be installed in environments exposure to moisture or rain, such as swimming pool and outdoor gardan. If the gauge is not water tight, the infiltrating water will condense inside and cover the surface of glass with small drops of water and make it difficult to see through or reflect a clear reading. Ultimately cause moisture damage and reduce the service life of gauge. Liquid-filled pressure gauges are also waterproof, so why not choose liquid-filled gauge？ First, liquid leakage will cause contamination or danger, especially in food and drinking water safety applications. Second, it will affect the accuracy of the readings. For ≤300 psi pressure ranges, sealed gauges require some type of vent valve, compensating membrane, or other mechanism for pressure compensation. Otherwise, changes in ambient temperature such as direct sunlight would distort the measured pressure. (No compensation is necessary in gauges with >300 psi pressure ranges, as the pressure built up inside the case is negligible in relation to the full scale range.) Third, the filling liquid will affect the applicable temperature of the pressure gauge. For example, the viscosity of glycerin will become very high at low temperature, so that the pointer of the pressure gauge cannot move. How to choose the right scale range? The user must ensure that the appropriate pressure gauge has been selected in terms of scale range and design. Review: Works and Priced Great!! - Works great!! I chafed it for the Snap On vacuum gauge. Fit perfect and works perfect. Worth the price. Installation was easy but Teflon was required. Easy to read. The only thing I would add to the gauge is a protective sleeve of some kind. Since I had a Snap On gauge I just swapped over the rubber housing. Replaced Snap On Item # SVTSRAD2726.

**Q: lead free? drinking water?**
A: The casing and the contact parts  are brass and stainless steel. There are no lead components listed and the description lists applications including beer and espresso indicating it is safe for use with human consumption applications.

**Q: will this fit into my Hayward Xstream Model CC10092S?**
A: Depends on the thread size however I have yet to buy a pressure gage that came in with the correct thread size. Order 1/4” and receive 1/2”. I would recommend taking your current gage to a pool store and pay the extra money. At least it will fit.

**Q: Will this fit on a american products commander filter lid 57005600 v38-150?**
A: If your threads are 1/4"NPT yes it will

**Q: Can I replace the '1/4" process connector'? Is that a 1/8" connector that feeds the process connector?**
A: If you need to add a different connector, using a different sized adaptor it is possible to buy that separately. The only limitation is to ensure you have the space to include an adaptor. Most stores like Home Depot sell adaptors.
