Very good.
Nice book, my daughter actually enjoys doing these tests, she does one a day, an I can see that the things being asked are definitely in line with her Foundation stage ciriculum.

Collins Mental Maths Ages 5-6
This is an excellent book of weekly tests, which really covers a huge amount of concepts (rather than just the usual addition, subtraction of many mental maths books for this age group). There are 40 tests, which become progressively more challenging - although each test has two questions at a lower level than the rest to ensure some success if a child is really struggling. There is a grid to record your child's progress and the answers are at the back of the book. I really like the mixed question format - for example, Test 5 has questions on addition, shapes, early fractions, less/more and time. If there had been money questions I would have found it perfect, but still it is a very good book. There is an English book for the same age group Collins Practice - Collins Phonics and Spelling: Ages 5-6 and a 'Basic Skills' book for both English and Maths, although they are for the 7-11 age group. Overall, this is a good buy.

Good for 5 to 6 years.

Most of the questions are too simple for a 5 year old kid. For example, identify tallest person in the picture, identify circles from a bunch of shapes, fill the missing number on a clock, count the number of items, etc.
