Probably not for babies
I bought these to explore sound with my baby. They are fine quality and perform as expected. He likes to shake them and bang then against the floor. HOWEVER, I hadn’t considered that the clapper inside is the shape and size of a marble. They seem to be secured well, but I won’t leave my baby unsupervised with them because if they came apart they would be a choking hazard. I may put them away and get them out again when he is older.

This was excellent for the price and the beautiful color for our needs.

Great for kids
These are not for "real" handbell practice, but they allow me to practice having a sound to go along with practicing my timing in reading music.These are more useful as basic music sound in the beginner level OR just fun for kids.I may use one as a dinner bell
