Light switches kicked up a notch
We have been slowly updating our light switches to this paddle style vs the toggle. It is just something that we fell looks better and after 15 years in our home, things were just dingy. There are plenty of versions of switches that fit the rectangular switch plates but if you are picky, take note that these are almost concave in appearance. Meaning, the paddle does not have a "crease" in the middle like some versions of paddle control switches. In addition, this switch comes with a screw less plate and will clearly match the switch. We had two switches in the junction box which required a double gang switch plate and a second switch. Since I wanted everything to match, I did purchase a separate switch plate and another switch that was also an Elegrp brand. I am glad I did because the finished product looks phenomenal on the wall. The dimmer has sensitive touch controls (which mean that the light dims/brightens simply by running your finger on the switch). It is also controllable via the ap... and through voice commands on our Alexa.I am "old school" to some extent and while I can operate the lights with the switches, I have to remember that I have options. I have to remember what name was given to the particular light but it does work with voice commands. I have not yet tried to set the switches to operate like a timer. That is next on the list.Overall, I think these switches LOOK higher end than a toggle, they have lights in them that tell you when the switch is on. (They're just cool...light switches kicked up a notch). They look like a million bucks and are worth the little extra they cost over basic paddle switches.

seems a little invasive
The light connected after a few attempts. I'm not a fan of the fact that I need to download a weird third-party app and HAVE to allow it my precise location on top of verifying an email address.Wish it just worked seamlessly with Google's apps. I'm afraid I'm going to have to buy a new light switch because the company shut down their servers at some point.

Probably the best of the generic budget dimmers
The media could not be loaded. There were no reviews when I bought this, but the Lutron Caseta Diva just came out and finally looks better than the Levitons with their cheap looking plastic and green lights (Regular Casetas also look high quality, but they’re uglier than Levitons). Before I spent a fortune on the new Casetas, I thought I’d give these a try.First, they look great. By any metric they are nicer than Levitons. I got the touchpad type ones and in was worried that function wouldn’t work that well, but if you know where the sensitive area is, they work great. The app is decent. It lets you configure minimum dimming to avoid flicker on some lights that don’t like being dimmed too low. You can configure ramping time. There are scenes, timers, and schedules (I haven’t tried these). All in all, I can’t see a reason to buy any other smart dimmer over these unless you don’t like the aesthetic. The covers that come with it are very slim (like Levitons), so if you have wider openings in your wall you might need to get midway covers (I use Eatons).I had just convinced myself that the casetas are worth it because they aren’t WIFI but I might end up using half these and half casetas in the house. If these were Zwave or Zigbee I’d replace the whole house with them.A couple weeks later: still working good. My lights can dim all the way to 1% and these dimmers handle it pretty well. At very very low dinning I can see the light isn’t completely steady but it’s not a real “flicker,” and my wife can’t notice it at all. And by the way, you can use any Tuya app with these. I have them in Tuya Smart Life and integrated into Home Assistant. Next step will be seeing if they can work with local Tuya or even flashing them to use with esphome.

Advertises but does not currently work with Alexa
The ELEGRP Home Skill is needed to get the device to work with Alexa and it's currently unavailable within the Alexa skills. Makes the device useless for me since I was looking for voice control. The device itself seems to work fine mechanically but have to dock device significantly for advertising but not working with Alexa.3/27/23 Update: Adding a star because I was able to link Alexa with a third party app (Smart Life) rather than the proprietary app. But I just discovered a humming noise coming from the switch when the light is dimmed (not full brightness). 3 stars.

Compatibility issue solved with Alexa
If you are like me and follow the instructions and get stuck trying to pair the elegrp app to Alexa, I read in one of the comments to use the Tuya app. Thank you to that reviewer because the Tuya app worked instantly while the elegrp app did not work with Alexa.

2Pack, only 1 worked 🙄
The media could not be loaded. So I bought the 2-Pack and basically got both sides of the coin. The very great working would-have-given-a-5-star-review one. And the, doesn't ever connect, only says to make sure you have Bluetooth on, and can't return now, one.So yeah, I'd rather you be careful and test them right away to be able to return, most people installing these are usually doing other work so by the time you notice it's too late and you've lost your money 🫤

colossal waste of time.
asked an electrician which one I needed. I ordered and seemed to be an easy install, basically connecting all the lines. Well checked and double checked and nothing. Just seems to flash but does not turn on or off the light. Do not try, just get the basics. Headed to Lowes and lost an hour
