Great little portable diagnostic reader.
If you are looking for a versatile and affordable OBD2 scanner to troubleshoot and fix your car problems, you might want to consider the Topscan OBD2 scanner. This is a wireless Bluetooth device that connects to your phone and allows you to access a wide range of features and functions through the app. You can scan the full system of your car, live data information, send commands to the car’s ECU for active testing, measure the performance of your car and get guidance on how to repair the faults. The device supports most vehicles produced from 1997 to 2022 that comply with the OBDII standard. When I plugged in to a 2003 Audi, I was surprised that it did an auto VIN to read the ECU which my previous dongle didn’t do where I had to search manually. The device is very well-built and sturdy, and it feels like a professional tool. It comes with a one-year free software update, which is a nice bonus. The app is easy to use and navigate, and it provides clear and detailed information. The device and the app work together seamlessly, and the Bluetooth connection is fast and stable using my Samsung Android phone. With the tool it found that the status LED light very useful which showed the power, bluetooth connectivity and a status/communications light. One thing to note is that when you plugin in the device to a vehicle, you will need to download the corresponding vehicles database/packages to the app which did take around 15 minutes on my connection. I think this is a fantastic OBD2 scanner for the money and the features. It does more than my previous dongle I used to use and it helps me save money and time on repairs in the longrun. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do their own car diagnostics and maintenance or even understand faults that arise on vehicles before they take to a garage. I will keep reviewing this on other makes and models and see how I get on with those. I will update this review where required.

Free for 1 Year, then Subscription Needed.
Excellent product. Connects to phone via an app, easy to set up. You can view fault codes, live data, reset battery monitor after installing new battery, etc. Worked on both Ford Galaxy 2017 and 2010 diesels. Will need to pay a subscription after 1 year.

Excellent Little scan tool
This is a well made and capable little scan tool and very powerful. It is not an ELM it is far more powerful. It is a proper bidirectional control unit. Manufacturer specific software has to be downloaded but it is fairly comprehensive and very user friendly. It is capable of programming parts and will work on most modern cars. on older cars early to mid 2000s it's a bit hit and miss but this is probably down to capabilities in the car rather than the tool. There are TSBs and repair documents but these are limited to specific manufacturers and not all makes have it available.Overall I am very happy with it. Would I recommend it as a first scan tool or replacement ? absolutely

More than just a DIY thing.
I’ve had a few different brands of these little Bluetooth scanners in the past and they have all seemed pretty much the same in what they can do. This one though is in a different league. Ok you have to subscribe after the first year to get all its capabilities but well worth it in my opinion. Because it’s bi directional (many aren’t) you are able to control and program most parts of your vehicle so makes it easier for fault finding etc. you do need to download the data for each specific make which means it’s far less generic than a lot of others. (That bit is free). It does give you access to certain parts of the vehicle where you need to be careful and know what you are doing though so it’s not just a ‘poke it and see’ thing! Physically it’s really nicely made and looks and feels good quality. Altogether a really good item for the price.

Would recommend
Easy step by step connectivity and topscan app works very well. I took a gamble on this TopDon eobd scanner and it saved me big time and paid for itself with one use. I have a mitsubishi outlander phev. and I changed the rear brake pads and disks. and had manually wound the calipers back. I was left with warning lights and the most annoying constant beep as soon as the vehicle moved warning that the handbrake was on at all times. Knowing I had messed up I went to my local mechanic who tried but his diagnostic equipment was "weak on some Japanese models". My only option was to book in with Mitsubishi directly. The problem is mitsubishi dealers in Ireland are not plentiful. I would have had a two hour drive to the nearest dealership. I took a chance on the Topscan as it's price was well worth it if it works. And if I didn't I hadn't wasted a lot of money. It connected to my mitsubishi, and had full functionality of the EPB system and could reset and clear all faults. Fixed in 10 minutes and I would highly recommend it to any DIY enthusiast.

Good....
Well packaged and good solid feel. Needed this to regen a blocked dpf and reset. Did the job well and accurate data. Lots of options and activations. Free make specific downloads to your phone. Unfortunately mine stopped communicating with my car but I've returned it and reordered same model. Overall, good product for the money.

A decidedly bad idea ...
Very disappointed with this. I wanted something to keep in the car, however, the OBD device is too big for the recess available on my BMW. The Topdon scanner software refused to install correctly on the iPhone and suggested a different app from the one used for the plug. I downloaded it on an Android device which seemed to work, however, trying to actually diagnose a car was impossible without a further download on the Play Store. Again, another download and tried again to diagnose the car. It got to 40% after which it refused to go any further. Having spent three hours trying to get this to work, I decided to send this back. The Topdon Artidiag EU was a much better device without the misery that this thing put me through.
