As received (#8 3/4" 410 SS screws) the head diameter measured 0.359 inches. Head diameter should be provided in description. Rough testing indicates that the SS is probably 410 (indoor) SS.

I keep pleanty of these around to replace similar screws. The broad head helps hold.

These things are brittle! They're sharp and inexpensive but not for any heavy duty jobs.

Tried to run in about four of these screws. The head snaps right off. They are cheaper and better quality at home depot, had to find that out the hard way.

They appear to be stainless by surface appearance, but 410 stainless (especially highly cold worked material such as this) is about as magnetic as regular carbon steel, so the magnet test that I would normally use for 300-series stainless is not definitive.Why stainless? - stainless screws are not necessarily the highest strength screw you can find (carbon steel screws are normally stronger), but they are normally strong enough for most uses, and they will not corrode (much, some mild surface corrosion is possible). They provide a great broad-based solution for small shops.
