I think this is supposed to be for the Bathtub vs a sink. Many people had the same issue as me, but I did try to isn't it into my tub and it would have worked, except I have something there that would obstruct it from going all the way in. So I was not able to fully test it. It looks very nice and feels constructed well. I think the listing needs more updating to show which types of sinks or maybe it should be a bathtub.

Overall this is a good solution if you are looking for a new sink stopper. It didn't fit in the sink I originally intended on using this on, because this product was too big. So I wouldn't call it universal. If the bathroom sink I was putting this into was a more modern one (my sink is from 1955) it would probably have been fine and accurate to say it is universal. You are going to need a sink opening that is at least 1.5 inches in diameter for this to fit. It comes with a spare washer, to help form a seal if you have a sink drain that slightly bigger than normal, so that's a nice touch. Overall it works well and is easy to clean.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to properly test this item as I originally intended this product for a bathroom sink that I didn't realize had an obstruction in the drain. Therefore, I couldn't put it in the fixture that I intended it for. However, upon examination, I found that the sink stopper is modern, minimalist, looks great, and is well constructed. If I had a bathroom or kitchen sink that could accommodate this stopper, I think I'd definitely use it and would fit my modern minimalist aesthetic. I'd recommend it for anyone who is looking for something that is slick and aesthetically appealing.

This is a good-quality stopper! looks nice! two small things to watch out for, one is the height of the stopper, some drain doesn't have enough clearance to fit this; the second is the water flap at the bottom sometimes traps a small amount of water on the drain.

I ordered this stopper for my downstairs bathroom. It works ok but you cannot push it through the hole. It sits on top of the hole but it still prevents water and items from going down the sink.

Really wanted this to work - unfortunately the size is too big for my standard bathroom sink opening. Wish it came in a smaller size. Suppose to fit 99% of drain openings - guess I have that 1%! May be helpful to state dimensions up front. Great concept - wrong size for me.

I was under the impression that this sink stopper was universal. It did not work in my sink. It is very nice, and I wish that it had worked. I have an average apartment sink it was just slightly too big around.

I got this item to replace an old drain stopper. Upon opening the box, I was pleased with the item as it is very attractive and well-made. I immediately noticed that the instructions were in Chinese. There is a QR code that you can scan, but that didn't work for me as my phone reported that the landing page was an invalid website. So I came back to the Amazon page and watched the video for installation. Super simple! Then I went to my sink and realized that this "universal" strainer is too large for any of my bathroom sinks. If this truly was universal, I'd give it 5 stars. My house was built in the 1960s, so it could be that my plumbing is sized differently from today's building standards.
