T&S Brass 015425-45 Dual VR Aerator Key

You know those things they put on your taps that restrict the water flow but you cannot remove them? This little item can remove them so you can put a regular sprayer on your tap and get lots of water pressure.

I had no idea you needed something like this to unscrew recessed faucets. Bought a pack of the plastic ones but couldn’t find a good fit. This metal one has various sizes plus a straight edge that you can fit in the aerator notches if the sized sides don’t fit. Just be careful not to “bend” the plastic notches on the aerator.

I saw a lot of reviews saying this was for Moen faucets. I ran into this gadget looking for Sloan recessed aerator removal tool. The faucet I had to remove the aerator from is a goosenecked, automated medical faucet and where I work/ live has ridiculously hard water. So, once I got the gadget, it worked. But, trying to get a look from underneath and getting the aerator to start moving took a lot of contortion. I also used CLR to get some of the crud off of the threads. And remember whenever you're removing an aerator,' lefty-loosey' is from the perspective of under the faucet. So, turn right. I hate plumbing.

I guess this item works but it didn't for me. The aerator was really stuck on.

Works perfect for my Moen kitchen faucet aerator. My faucet has a 'figure four' pattern used for disassembly. I used junior side of the tool but only one cross-hair on my aerator gave me access.... one of the spray spout nipples is in the way. Still, no problem with removal. This tool is made of metal, solid design.
