KNIPEX Precision Circlip Pliers Set 8 Parts, 00 20 04 SB

Worth the money, always my first choice for such tools. Been used for many months now and perform very well, highly recommend.

DIY reviewer. I tried some local tools on trade card but the tips were essentially spikes! I was doing a rear wheel bearing and the circlip was in since new (2010 car), so a higher quality and suitable design was required as the force to remove ended up being high. This was on a weekend and I was offered the 5 months deal on Prime membership, turned up the next day. Nothing like these Knipex pliers was local so I was pleased the Knipex could be delivered. I'll certainly have these for many years!

Knipex aren't cheap, but they represent excellent value for money. The only tools I've regretted buying have been cheap ones which didn't do their job properly and/or broke. I decided a few years ago to stick to Knipex as a brand when buying pliers, which has been one of my better decisions.

These really are the best. Maybe a bit on the expensive side, but if you use circlip pliers anything more than once in a blue moon then these are an absolute gem of a purchase! They’re really very well made. I do a bit of diy work on motorcycles and circlips have always been a bit of a nuisance, but these really do make it so much easier. The design really grips the circlip, I’ve dropped them and they still hang on to it. Also the foam tray is incredibly pleasing, so much so that I made a tool chest basically to hold these! Highly recommended, and the interest free instalments makes the price a little more bearable :)

not used them yet so cant confirm if they are a good fit,but knipex so would like to think they will be ok,usual good quality,if only they they could sell them at a reasonable price

Have only used these in work a handful of time but they have performed great, the angle of the tips and precision machining helps to hold the circlips in the pliers on installation and removal. To me so far they seem to hold circlips better than snap on one's I've used. I also like the fact that you have separate internal and external pliers of each size as apposed to pliers which do both internal and external in the one pair.

Work really well, so nice to use and v well made.

I've had this set for over 3 years now so a review is probably overdue! On the face of it this set may seem expensive. But look at it like this. The tools included (2 sizes, Internal & External, Straight and 90 Deg) will cover every circlip that you come across for the rest of your life. And they will do the job first time - no messing. On that basis they are well worth the money. If mine were lost or stolen I would buy the same set again.

Dieses Set ist nicht billig, aber sein Geld Wert, zudem das Angebot hier bei AMAZON wirklich enorm günstig war. Die Zangen sind von hervorragender Qualität in einem Kunststoffkoffer, der ebenfalls besser (richtige Scharniere) als die üblichen ist. Die Zangen 'sind für die wichtigsten Größen für Innen- und Außenringe in gerader und 90 Grad gewinkelter Version enthalten. Gewünscht hätte ich mir nur, dass die Präzisionszangen für die kleinen Sicherungsringgrößen, die ich auch noch habe, auch mit hinenpassen würden. Aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau. Es gibt natürlich Sicherungsringzangen, die nur einen Bruchteil kosten - so eine habe ich auch von OBI. Aber erstens macht es einfach mehr Spaß mit wirklich gutem Werkzeug zu arbeiten und zweitens sehe ich diese Knipex Zangen als Anschaffung für's Leben. Nebenbei: Ich habe jetzt seit ca. 30 Jahren eine Kombizange von Knipex, wie der Name sagt für jeden möglichen Sinn und Unsinn benutzt, und sie ist immer noch in in gutem Zustand - Knipex eben.

Because they work. These pliers have "precision" in the name to distinguish them from the standard product which has external springs, box joints, and turned tips. These pliers have adjustable joints, internal springs, and spring wire tips. The tips are not changeable, they are crimped in. When you wear out a pair of tips (hasn't happened to me yet), you have got your $25 worth of use, go buy another pair. The tips are canted outward on external ring pliers and inward on internal ring pliers. This is a great feature as the clip will work it's way toward the pliers when under tension and tend to stay on the pliers until tension is released. Great feature. This set will handle 3/8" (10mm) to 2 3/8" (60mm). If you are an R/C car enthusiast or a gun or airgun or paintball gunsmith, you will need a separate pair of external pliers that will handle 1/8" (3mm) to 3/8" (10mm). Thank the engineer in the sky they don't particularly make 1/8 to 3/8 Internal snap rings, but if they did, Knipex would probably make them. You may want straights Knipex 4911A0 External Straight Precision Retaining Ring Pliers 5.5-Inch or the angled ones Knipex 4921A01 External Angled Precision Retaining Ring Pliers 5.2-Inch sometimes they go out of stock, but don't hurry, buy them from Amazon as they are about $10 less expensive. Knipex also makes bigger pliers for those of us who fool with big tractors and earth movers. These are very good tools, they are drop forged steel and should last a long time doing what they were designed to do.

Knipex quality use them daily at work and so far so good have held up great!
