Work great.
This is a new design, I no longer have to worry about the crucible full of molten aluminum being caught by the simple tongs, I just need to put it in the unit and be able to dump it out easily.

Heavy-duty way to move your metals
Innovative, heavy-duty pouring stands for several different models of included crucibles. I've had this item out of the box with the crucible and spent some time getting to know the device, and I've had both successes and some minor failures. After spending more time with the product, I realize that this is a terrific product, but if you are thinking about ordering, plan of spending time practicing and perfecting your techniques before adding heat to the equation. Once you have mastered and standardized your work process, bring on the fire. Recommended.

Good idea, crucible size standard questionable, might take you some effort to implement fully
Metal casting is a fairly small hobbyist market with some obvious real dangers - I appreciate what they've done here with this design. I suspect some cut-weld-changing is in my future to make this a nice working tool for me. Four stars for effort and a fairly well built device to start from at a very reasonable price.Concerns for you to consider:-The supplied crucible fits pretty tightly in the holder, it will get a little bigger when it's glowing hot with molten bronze in it. Will it fit hot? I have my doubts and will open up the device.-I got a #3 crucible, but it is noticeably different in size than the 2 other #3 crucibles I bought from 2 different vendors. Similar, but definitely not interchangeable and my others absolutely will not fit this.-The pivot point of the device is center of crucible and lower than the lip so the pour point will move over 2 inches as you empty the crucible. Ideally, the pivot point would be pretty much in line with the pour point and at the same elevation. Then you could fix this device and your mold and feel pretty confident about a nice safe pour. Of course, multiple pours are still a problem, but I usually just do one at a time. Also, for the advertising people, we are not "smelting".....

Great way to keep the crucible steady when pouring into moulds
Bought this for some projects involving copper and tin. The base is sturdy and will be great for pouring delicate maneuvers like into a sprue or smaller mould. Well worth the money!

Crucible + Pouring Rack
This crucible and pouring rack is pretty great. This allows for easy and smooth pouring of melted material once the crucible is placed into the rack. This is pretty well made and the crucible fits just a tiny bit loose when cool, so when hot, it should fit just right into the rack. However, I do feel that there might be some issues with it. It's a shame that it doesn't come with any molds to pour into as if you have a lower height mold, it will be a bit harder to pour smoothly. Also, it doesn't help if you want to do multiple pours into different molds.Overall, it's a nice pouring rack and crucible as I am just a hobbyist. I'm not sure how great this is for someone who is more advanced.

Adds an element of safety
This pouring rack is a great help when trying not to get splashed or otherwise burned. Remove the crucible from your furnace and lower it into the rack. Tighten the handle and you're ready to go. Simply lift the handle gently and pour your metal into whatever form you've laid out under the crucible. It really helps keep your metal solution where it should be rather than that where it shouldn't. It helps to prevent crucible being cracked and outright broken due to slippage and other accidents.
