EXCELLENT ALTERNATIVE POWER SUPPLY/SWITCHING ADAPTER
I had bought this power supply as a replacement switching adapter for my dehumidifier, sold on Amazon (SEAVON Dehumidifier 35oz https://a.co/d/2W49tAE) which seemed to have a relatively standard input/output voltage, but non-standard input/output amperage (1.5A Max; 3.5A). After searching for hours on Amazon with no luck, and after finding it basically impossible to contact the seller regarding a replacement, I decided to take a different approach; rather than searching for exact specifications, I decided to search for a power supply with the correct polarity [<->©<+>] and identical voltage, but higher-than-specified amperage, which led me to this power supply. The specifications are as follows:Polarity: negative (-) to positive (+), or [<->©<+>]Input: 100-240v, 50/60Hz 1.6A MaxOutput: 12v 5ARemember: when looking for a replacement adapter for a device, the polarity and voltage input/output must be IDENTICAL to the adapter you are attempting to replace, but the amperage input/output can be *higher* than the original adapter, but not lower than; undercurrent can & will damage your device just as much as incorrect voltage and polarity will. Enjoy!

Defective Product
Defective. Plugged it in and the indicator light didn't light up. Plugged into a known good power outlet.

Pretty close to rated capacity
Supply advertised working at 12v 5a.I used a test load at 4.9a, and the supply did not fail. But it did get quite hot; hot enough for the label on it to start peeling off. But it did not stop supplying power!I'm not comfortable saying this will sustain 5a continuously. But you should always under rate supplies anyway. This should work just fine sustaining 4a. Peak 5a should be fine.

Didn't work
It didn't work. Don't know if it was faulty or what, but it would not charge anything.
