Our PLA is made in the USA from renewable eco-friendly US plastics and a special formulation of additives that we've been perfecting over the past two years. We are committed to providing the highest quality 3D printing filament that will give you consistent, jam-free printing for fewer print failures. We dry the raw plastic for hours before production, and we manufacture in a low humidity environment to keep the moisture content low in the filament. We watch the production line constantly, measuring each millimeter of filament with a highly accurate laser before it is spooled. Then we vacuum seal the spools with double the silica for extra protection against moisture. We leave a little air in the vacuum bag to allow the silica to work (if the bag is too tight it doesn't allow air to flow so the silica can't pull any moisture out). As you can see, with Vortex 3Dp, the quality is in the details.
