Review: Excellent for home-made flavored beverages - I purchased three different watermelon flavorings in an effort to fabricate a home-made flavored water drink: This one (Monin Watermelon Flavor Concentrate), the Capella flavoring, the LorAnn Oils product. I'm essentially attempting to reproduce the Bai Watermelon drink, so I can both cut my Bai cost and cut my plastic use. My comments on the three are as follows - listed best-to-worst, for a beverage use: - Monin. The flavor of the Monin is quite accurate to the real thing (Watermelon), and to the the Bai beverage. It was easily the best of the three. A big side-benefit: It comes in a large bottle, and I think will be much more economical to use as a daily beverage flavoring. - Capella. The Capella flavor was a good second, but still tastes just a *smidgen* artificial. It's an okay 2nd place, but just ok. It's also a small bottle from which you drip drops. It takes less *volume* than the Monin by far. (16 drops, vs. the 2 oz of Monin). Nonetheless, I think the Monin will be a better value over constant use. I'll finish using the vial I ordered of this, but not re-order. - LorAnn. STAY AWAY. This smells more like a ladies perfume - both standalone and when used in a beverage. It had that overly-floral, highly-chemistry-based taste that I associate with artificial flavorings. I tried it once, and threw it away. I cannot imagine ANY edible thing where you'd want to use this flavoring - beverage, baked, or otherwise. Hope this is helpful. I'll cross-post to the other two products. By the way: Here's the recipe I've come up with for a daily beverage that approximates watermelon Bai: - 50ml Cascara (coffee fruit) tea - as strong as you can make it. I make mine with hot water, THEN let it continue to brew overnight. The cascara brand doesn't seem to make a difference; but the strength of it does. I vary this element from cup to cup, to change up the flavor of each batch, for variety's sake. - 1 Tbsp Steviva Blend (brand sweetener) - the combination of both Stevia & Erythritol seems to be important (vs. just one or the other). I think the Bai uses a higher proportion - maybe 1.5 - 2 Tbsp / beverage. I prefer my version that is a bit less-sweet. - 1/8 Tsp Citric Acid powder (vendor of your choice). It turns out to be important to have a bit of this - but a little bit of this goes a LONG way; don't over-do. - 2 oz Monin Watermelon concentrate. Or, just 1-3 pumps, to taste. - 400-500 ml of water - enough to fill your tall plastic Starbucks cup ;-) - Ice It's not exactly clear, but when you order the Monin from desertcart, you will NOT receive a pump to use with the bottle, as you do if/when you order from Monin directly. This didn't turn out to be a significant issue, though, since I'm roughly eye-balling my Monin usage just fine, and the desertcart ordering experience is superior. Enjoy. -jb Review: Quantity! - Really love the Capella cucumber but the price keeps going up! This was a GREAT value for about 10x the quantity of Capella. I've been flavoring my vape juice with it, and it would be excellent in my sparkling water too. No sweetness. Possibly not as strong as capella, but very tasty and so much more of it! A great purchase.

Great for cocktails
I originally purchased this for the bar I work to use for our margaritas. It has a really great taste and worked very well in our cocktails. It is a concentrated so you only need one pump. The only downfall is that it’s a smaller bottle. I switched to the other monin cucumber syrup because it’s bigger. This one has more of a true cucumber flavor though. I now buy this for myself to keep at home to use in my water to help me drink it more often. It has a great flavor and for personal use would last you a while.

OK but Sweet
It smelled less like chemicals than 'cucumber flavoring' that I have tried (they were awful). This looked popular and dies have some cucumbee taste but it IS sweet. The 1st ingredient is Vegetable Glyceride which is a sweetener. I was using it on tzatziki sauce. No matter what cucumber I use, I always feel like it's not enough flavor so that is why I bought this. I was disappointed and had to keep adding lemon juice to counteract it. Could b fine for other applications.

Product seal was broken on arrival
Product took 21 days to travel from LA to Seattle. When it arrived the cap was taped shut and the perforated seal was already broken meaning this had been opened at some point and then taped closed. I poured it down the kitchen drain as I have no idea if the product was adulterated or not. The product states no sugar and technically that is true but the base of the syrup is vegetable glycerin which is considered sugar alcohol. Won't be ordering any Monin product like this again.

Refreshing flavor!
Water, plain water, tastes more refreshing and thirst quenching with this flavor. I noticed this about the cucumber flavor that sodastream used to carry. But now sodastream adopted the bubbly flavors, and they dropped the cucumber! I am glad I found this supplier. Cucumber water flavor is a gem. I now drink twice as much water as before due to this refreshing flavor! One thing to note: You need to get the pump. Order the pump, otherwise it is difficult to get the right amount of syrup for your water out of the syrup bottle.

Make a great Flavor for my Sodastream
Perfect to flavor my SodaStream Water, especially in the summer. Doesn’t have all the chemicals that normal flavoring has. Very REFRESHING. Will definately purchase again.

Fabulous for maragritas
I use in margaritas. It is strong so you only need a little.
