Reviewed this on YouTube too and I must say again how much I love it. Holds a monitor, mic, light and locks in the HDMI cable.Do note though that the screen cannot articulate fully if you use the locked HDMI feature.Other than that, it's pretty perfect for static shoots. I wouldn't use this for on the go filming though.

Good for videography, obviously adds lots of adaptability, also fine on a tripod but exceptionally uncomfortable for handheld use in your left hand. Not sure if I should have anticipated this but with some slight design tweaks this could have been resolved.

This is a very well build cage which has a lot of options in terms of connecting several devices such as an external light, a top handle and also an external monitor at the top.One of the features that I like the most about this product is the fact that it has 2 cold shoe and the top which allows me to and the devices that I need and it also comes with a key which is located at the bottom in order to lock the screws that are on the cage and also to mount other accessories.In terms of built in quality, this is more than time, it is made from solid aluminium and it is also relatively lightweight so there is no worry filling the camera with this cage on to heavy.Overall the products exactly what has to so I have nothing to complain about.

What I like the most about this is the precision, the measurements and machining is very well done.The all over black finish is nice, it gives this an unobtrusive aesthetic to me.Now for me, the most exciting part about this, is the sheer number of customisable setups this offers, and the fact I can easily switch from mount option to another is great.I like the fact that they included a small rubber pad on the bottom, which not only offers an amount of grip, but also stops scratching, so that’s a bonus.The fact there is the mount screw, and then 2 side locks to secure the camera is very nice, it gives peace off mind, and I find them easy to use thanks to the nicely included “double size” screw driver attached on the bottom magnetically.All in all, with the array of mount thread sizes, the sheer number of them, located all around the cage, makes this a massive bonus in setting up for a variety of shoots.Very nice bit of kit.

This Camera Cage for the Panasonic Lumix S5 II / S5 IIX arrives in a plain looking, Neerer branded, cardboard box.This cage is very well made and has a good finish throughout. Made of anodized aluminium alloy, it feels very robust whilst remaining relatively light weight, adding just under 200g to the weight of your camera. All the threads in the sockets, as well as the threaded screws, are well made and gave no issues when used.The measurements of the cages are quite precise, meaning it fitted snugly to my S5 IIX. This combined with the three mounting points securing it to the camera, made for a very sturdy platform to attach equipment to, with no movement or twist. The hole for the battery compartment lined up perfectly, as did the adjustable HDMI cable clamp.The HDMI clamp does a good job of securing the HDMI cable in place so that it can’t be accidentally yanked out of the socket. It is also removable for those who don’t need it or would prefer not to have it attached. The fact that the dual head wrench can be stored by attaching it magnetically in the base of the cage is a very handy touch. Another really useful feature is the fact that the base of the cage is designed to be Arca-Swiss compatible, so can act as a Quick Release plate. This allows you to quickly and easily swap your camera between different Arca-Swiss compatible mounting points without the need to attach a separate QR plate.I won’t go into details about all the attachment points as they are accurately detailed in the description. Other than to say that they are very useful and well thought out.In conclusion, this is an extremely well made camera cage for the Panasonic Lumix S5 II & S5 IIX cameras. So I'll start off answering a question I have a feeling will be asked by a few people. No, it doesn't fit the S2 mk I. The strap hooks block it from fitting at all so you'd have to remove them and then you'd only be left with the single point underneath to secure the camera to the cage. The front lip that states what model it's for might also get in the way.Onto it with the S5 mk II. It's great. For people like me who don't use an external monitor, having the ability to remove the HDMI cable clamp so I can flip out the screen is great to see.The threads seem to be very well machined all round. No issues with screwing anything in any of the slots in my experience. Other NEEWER products threads slide and rotate so smoothly it's lovely to experience.Cold shoe spots are done well.The overall material and machining of the product is great, definitely up there with other brands people typically use around this price point at £63.99. With any coupons or sales it's a good buy for sure.The strap secure points are a nice feature to see. Having 3 points secured make it feel a lot more sturdy and gives me a bit more confidence to be a bit more vigorous with actions shots.The product is light enough, doesn't add too much heft to the camera and has plenty of options for placements of things for the amateur. The professional may be left wanting a little more out of it but for me I don't have any real stand out issues with this cage at all. NEEWER product quality has really been stepped up a notch from the older stuff.
