Thoughts after using for 3 months
Following surgery to repair fully-ruptured quadricep tendons from my left patella, I purchased this ROM brace to assist in rehabilitation and support. Here are my observations and thoughts after three month of use:1. The brace has a decent range of adjustment settings for Extension (extending your lower leg "out"), Flexion (bending your lower leg, at the knee, "in"), and locking the brace at anywhere from -10 degrees to 90 degrees in 10-degree increments. As a first-time ROM brace user, it took me a couple minutes to relate the terms in the instructions to "what the brace was doing," but it's fairly simple after you understand those terms, which are not defined in the instructions.2. Each of the eight pads on the brace (four per side) are attached to the brace using hook-and-loop (Velcro) strips, which are in turn adhered to the brace structure with adhesive. The strips on my brace varied in width, affecting the adhesion of the strips to the brace, e.g., the narrower strips simply have less adhesive surface-area to keep them positioned where they should be on the brace. So, after a couple months, I had to use "super-glue" to affix a few of the strips and keep them positioned correctly on the brace (use the gel-type).3. Each of the eight pads have three narrow (a few millimeters) beads of a silicone-type material applied to them which contact your leg and are parallel to the ground when standing. Their purpose of these "friction beads" is to provide friction against your leg so that, when the brace is buckled-up, it doesn't continually migrate or slide down your leg as you walk or move around. The problem is that the beads are not wide enough to provide sufficient surface-area to enable enough friction against your leg for the brace to keep from migrating. So, as with some of the hook-and-loop adhesive strips, it's a good base design, it just wasn't implemented (or, engineered) in a way that allows for it's design to properly function. In my case, I wrap a piece of "Ace bandage" around my leg where the second-from-the-bottom pads are positioned and then put the brace on. Generally, this provide the friction necessary to keep the brace from migrating downwards. See point 5, below, also.4. On one side of the brace, the mechanism which keeps the 90-degree indexing point for Flexion in-place is not working any more. So, instead of being able to set Flexion on that side to the design-positions of either 30, 40, 70, 90-dgrees or "open" (which means, theoretically, that you can bend your lower leg all the back or in), it can only be set to 30, 40, 70 degrees, or to "open." I'm at a point in my recovery where I like Flexion set to 90-degrees .. go figure! I haven't taken it apart to see if I can fix it, but this is just a note on product durability.5. Depending on your physique and musculature, you may not need any additional friction to keep the brace from migrating as you walk or move around. If you do, however, you can also try positioning the "Ace bandage" (or similar) to work with a different set of the pads. It all depends on how the friction provided by the brace works with your different leg muscles as gravity does it's thing. All in all, especially considering it's fairly low cost, it's not a bad product and I believe a couple of small tweaks would make it a much better product and certainly "easier to live with." That said, if I needed to wear one for an extended time period (in my case, it'll probably be four-five months as the quad muscles get back to normal), I'd opt for a different brace. That, or maybe just keep these points in mind and plan to get a new one whenever the mechanisms stop working like they should. I hope this review helps .. God-speed with your recovery!

My thighs are big
I wish the thigh straps were longer, but it is keeping my knee in place. Not as heavy as I thought it would be and that's a good thing for me. Easy to self apply and adjust. The pads are not super thick and that's okay. Over all happy about the apparatus.

supportive and breathes well, but kinda heavy
The description of this product says that it's light-weight. I may be light weight compared to other braces, but don't be fooled -- it's still quite heavy, especially for an injury that's still healing. This brace is great for when your resting your leg and just want some general support around the leg to stabilize it, or once you've mostly recovered and are ready to get moving again. I would not recommend wearing it if you are on crutches or if your knee is still delicate, as the added weight could affect your joint.Great for stabilization and breathes much better than other braces. It's a great way to have control over your knee mobility radius as well, because you can set and lock the joint area of the brace at a specific degree or limit the radius to prevent over-extension. Definitely ask your doctor what radius settings would be best for you, you can also go be comfort level if you don't have access to a medical professional.I'd say if there was one way I'd improve this product as a manufacturer would be to make it a little bit lighter, but still stiff and sturdy. But if you do physical therapy to help build your muscles and off-set the weight of this brace it should be fine.

Does not stay in place
I would love it, if it stayed in place while walking but it does not! May if I had really manly legs and muscles it would.

Too much work putting it on

Decent for price but buckles are plastic and easily break
Buckles are plastic and we’ve now gone through two braces since May because the plastic breaks when trying to pull the straps tight. If it’s not tight, it slides.

Just as good as the more expensive brands
I torn my ACL and two menisci while working. After several bouts of instability, I purchased this brace. I would often wear a sleeve or a neoprene brace in combination with this; I am a forester and hike in rough terrain. I wore this for 3 months until my surgery, at which point they provided me with an almost identical knee brace, but 7 times the price. I still use it in rotation with my expensive one since it’s just as good. When one of the buckles broke the company had very good customer service and provided me a replacement within days. Highly recommended!

Knee support I can support
I fractured my knee, with prescription in hand; noone was able to provide this brace. I went on the Amazon site, found it, watched video, decided to try.It all worked out, otherwise I would have to wait for approval & delivery etc Takes weeks & needed support yesterday.
