Great product
This has been an excellent edition to our homeschool tools. Folds up and holds all the pieces, has multiple layers of learning to it. Travels well because of the magnetic aspect. We love this product

Fun for ages 3-64
Very pleased with this purchase. My 10 year old grand-daughter and I now know where each of the States are located, can identify them by their shape and size. Through play we are learning fun facts about each state. Quality product. Three-year-old now requests to play "The United States" game. (which is placing the varied shaped magnetic State pieces on their correct place on the magnetic board)

Good not perfect
Disappointed that it did not include all 50 states as individual pieces. I realize they would be small but it's important.

Base & magnets great. Info flags useless
- I forgot to notice country of originThis is great in many respects but there is an issue for me.First, the magnets stick just fine. The colors are fun. All the magnets fit where they're supposed to.Here starts my issue - it's 3 parts, all based on the flags they include. The flags are slightly thick paper so can be a little iffy for small hands to use and not mangle. It comes with a strip of putty to stick the those flags on.A problem there is that if you put the flags on, it covers up the info on the map itself. It can get extremely cluttered, especially the east coast.Next, while the state capitals are printed on one side of the flags, you can't easily see both sides nor the board. My big problem is the flag info was sloppy and/or lazy.1. The "License plate slogan / State nickname" column, at least half are wrong. What they state is neither the nickname nor was it on any license plate shown on their DMV websites. Some are absurd.2. Some of the "trivia tidbits" they include are notable historical points but many are fatuous. Nothing notable could be found for LA besides "cajun(sic) food"? KY, "KFC headquarters"? Illinois, "corn dogs, deep dish pizza, first McDonald's"? I find that annoying. For all 3 of those reasons regarding the flags, we threw them away. They caused him frustration in handling and not being able to see everything, and me great frustration in the erroneous and lame "info".Ok so there's still plenty of good stuff. The way it's made, it forms its own slim box. The base map is good thick board. One half folds over and there's foam at top and bottom and a flap on the side. That makes it very portable with no lost pieces.Up to you, but I wanted a learning tool, not a Trivial Pursuit primer.

great for 4 year old
this is very user friendly. My 4 year old was able to help make this. She loved snapping the pieces out if the wood. She was not able pull back a load the catapult as the rubber bands are to strong for her. But we still had a lit of fun. It really is made for at least a 6 year old. But all together a great activity to do with a young child.

Awesome!
I love this kit! There are so many things to do with this one material... and the price is so reasonable. I bought it for my lower El Montessori class. Quality seems great as well.

Poor design and quality in a colorful package
I’ve been a furniture builder for over 30 years. This weekend I tried building these two toys with my 5 yo grandson. The trebuchet was ok although I doubt if a 5 yo could have followed the “pictorial” instruction without an adult interpreter. As another reviewer said, glue was needed to hold the structure together. The bow “arrow ball shooter” was an engineering nightmare. The parts all had to be glued. The plastic flash on the balls had to be ground off. There wasn’t enough clearance for the balls to drop, so I had to disassemble the main frame after it was glued and use a cylindrical sander to enlarge the “chute”.. I also had to redesign the trigger and reinforce the body of the bow so that it didn’t just come apart after two shots.Like I said, I have LOTS of woodworking and design experience, and I would never recommend this. I thought STEM toys were quality toys, but I don’t think anyone in the STEM company ever tried to build one of these out of the box! Poor quality control.
