This is a really cool little set! The little display case is sturdy and closes and latches well. I like the card that shows exactly what rocks and minerals are included. They are good sized too. The booklet is both comprehensive and easy to read. I like what I read about this seller too, and some of the good things they are doing in their community. I'm putting aside this set to give my son for Christmas, in hopes that he becomes a little rock enthusiast like I was as a kid. If it works, I'll definitely be buying from this company again.

The rocks/minerals are vibrant and unlike other reviews, I thought the packaging was descent. The organizer is solid and the kit came with a guide book as well as a quick guide all in a clear plastic package...tie a bow on it and you have a gift. I used it as an Easter treasure hunt and my 7yr old loved it.

I was a little surprised at the size of the rocks. The sets were for my next door neighbor kids, ages 9 and 7 (girl & boy). They each have a rock collection and the set looked like an interesting one for them to explore. The boy was especially impressed with the arrowhead. The rocks were pretty and the explanations looked easy to understand. The kid's Mom will help with explanations. The box the rocks were in was really nice. Purchased for our almost 6 year old grandaughter who likes collecting rocks and minerals. It is a perfect gift for her. The collection box keeps them separated and the rock identification book is easy enough for her to understand.

This is in excellent collection of rocks and minerals for a child, and our five year old became rock/crystal/gem crazy after getting this! The included case and ID guide are both excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice kit. However we bought this as a birthday gift and I was caught off guard by the packaging. It comes in an envelope that has the box with the card and informational booklet on the outside. So basically it looked like we opened his gift... I expected it to all be enclosed in a box but maybe that was on me.

I teach Kindergarten and they love our rock unit. I bought these to help teach properties of rocks (size, texture, shape, and color) and I am not disappointed. They were neatly packaged in a clear, plastic pocket. It came with 10 stones in a sturdy plastic storage container, a stone identification guide and a chart showing the rock and its name. I laminated the chart for durability.The rocks are about the size of a quarter. They match up easily with their picture chart.My students love to look at the rocks with their hand lenses. They are awesome geologists!

My 10 year old great grandson found a couple of neat rocks while we were hiking about a month ago. We bought him a book on rocks and gems. Now he wants more rocks. He does odd jobs for me so he can make some money. I took him to a hobby store an he purchased 2 rocks for $10.00. The rocks we ordered and gave to him earlier today made us smile. He was so happy and he gave us a huge hug. We are glad that at such a young age he has taken an interest in rock collecting. I will be ordering from you again. Thank you.
