I've used this adaptor for 2 setups and both worked flawlessly. One is powered via external power and one is powered by the tower. Both allowed me to get full 1440p resolution onto my monitors via DP when daisy chain wasn't an option, something HDMI won't do.

I was having some issues with getting the cables just right and the seller responded quickly and got me through everything. This product is great! I had recently finished building a really nice computer - hugely upgraded from my current one - and this KVM is convenient. One thing to be aware of - I had to use all 8k cables for this to work. For each computer I have the following:1) 2 x 8k display port cables2) 1 x 8k display port to HDMI cable3) The included USB cableThen, because my monitors only have HDMI ports, I got 2 x 8k display port to HDMI cables and everything works like a charm.I am setting up a third computer and having this is SO HELPFUL. This goes down as one of the best PC purchases I've made because it extends your capabilities so much - and you don't have to resort to remote pc control.Awesome 5 stars. You will almost certainly have to upgrade your existing cables but it's worth it.

Works perfectly when everything is connected, BUT, as soon as you disconnect a device, the whole thing fails and I'm still trying to nail down the process to make it work. I find myself disconnecting my laptop for a number of reasons, but it just messes up the switch then, so I have to turn on/off devices, unplug/plug cables, it's a mess to make it work again. SO, if you don't disconnect anything it works beautifully, but if you unplug something....it's such a hassle to make it work again.

Had an issue where I cross contaminated my personal and work computers. Got this so it never happens again. Easy to use, small convenient. Don’t know why it took me so long to get. Must have if you constantly using multiple computers

Update: Customer support was very responsive and definitely wanted to help They assured me the product could handle higher resolution than what I was seeing. I purchased two new high quality HDMI cables to see if that was the problem. I was able to get a higher resolution via a USB-C hub with HDMI, but sound did not come across and I could not get higher than 1920*1080 through the onboard HDMI on either computer. I'll amend my review to basically say that while the product may be capable of these higher resolutions, it was not plug and play in my case. Maybe I just got a bad switch, but didn't want to keep troubleshooting and ultimately returned it for a different product.Pros: System works okay to get things set up and running. I like the external wired switch. Cable quality seems good and device itself seems well constructed.Cons: Switch is only capable of "Up to 4Kx2K@60Hz, 1920*1080@60Hz" and does not pass sound through HDMI. The manual points out that HDMI is capable of 3840*2160@60Hz. Additionally (small pet peeve) the power adapter is not power strip friendly, with the length of the adapter running parallel to the prongs instead of perpendicular.Sent an email to tech support and will update review if they can help.

I've been running my personal PC and work computer on this for a few months and have had zero problems. I have 2 4k monitors and it works great. Make sure you plug in the power, it may technically work without but not ideally.

I purchased this KVM switch, and I have to say, it has been nothing but a headache. The video feed takes an eternity to start when switching between devices. I expected seamless and efficient switching, but instead, I'm left waiting for what feels like an eternity every time I switch.To make matters worse, I find myself constantly having to disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable from one of the devices just to get it to work. This defeats the purpose of having a KVM switch, as I should be able to switch between devices effortlessly without having to resort to such workarounds.In addition to the agonizingly slow video feed startup and the constant need to fiddle with HDMI cables, the build quality of this KVM switch leaves much to be desired. The device itself feels flimsy and cheaply made. It's a disappointment considering the price I paid for it. The buttons are clunky, and there's a noticeable lag when I press them to switch between devices, further exacerbating the frustrating experience.Furthermore, I've encountered compatibility issues with some of my devices. It seems like this KVM switch struggles to work seamlessly with various brands and models. While the product may claim to support multiple devices, it falls short in delivering a reliable performance across the board. This lack of compatibility makes it even more frustrating to use, as I can never be sure whether it will work correctly with a particular device or not.Overall, this product has been a frustrating disappointment. It's unreliable and does not deliver on its promises of smooth device switching. I would strongly advise against purchasing this KVM switch and would look for a more reliable alternative.

This switch is awesome. Between my desktop and laptop, I was always swapping flash drives and cable, not now everything plays great together, even transferring files is faster and easier. A click of a button and keyboard, mouse, even my 3D space mouse, all follows over. Wish I had bought this a lot sooner. I highly recommend this swith.

I find it occasionally switching to 1080p on my DualUp's picture-by-picture (1440p 16x9) mode, but it goes back to normal when I restart it.Happens on Linux (tested KDE Neon with Plasma 6 Wayland, Arch Linux with Cinnamon desktop & Ubuntu Unity) & macOS Sonoma on M1 Max Macbook Pro & 2015 Macbook Pro.One amazing thing, with this KVM switch is that I can disay chain it with another HDMI KVM switch and it works amazingly! I have my 2015 Macbook Pro daisy chained from another KVM switch that's connected to this one.

Fait le travail jusqu'à présent. Vient avec 2 cables HDMI de 3 pieds et 2 cable USB de 3 pieds. La construction semble solide et après quelques jours, le commutateur arrive à garder connectés mon clavier, ma souris, mes écouteurs et ma webcam lors des changements d'un PC à l'autre sans problème.Quelques commentaires:- Les cables USB sont usb-a vers usb-a, alors qu'il est plus usuel d'avoir des usb-a vers usb-b. Comme le cable fourni était trop court pour rejoindre l'un de mes ordinateurs, j'ai dû en acheter un de 10 pieds sur Amazon.- Le commutateur vient avec une alimentation par prise usb-A et il n'y a pas d'adaptateur fourni.- J'ai lu que certains trouvaient que le bouton pour actionner le changement d'ordinateur à distance était trop petit. L'interrupteur a la diamètre d'un crayon mais je l'actionne sans problème. Ce n'est pas un show-stopper à mes yeux.- Il y a un délai de 2-3 secondes pour passer d'un ordinateur à l'autre, ce qui est plus long que mon ancienne switch DVI.- Le commutateur remplace un commutateur Startech qui avait beaucoup de problème de fiabilité et qui nécessitait de fréquemment débrancher les périphériques USB et les rebrancher pour qu'ils soient reconnus. Bye-bye Startech.
