Spend the money. Buy this.
Woah. This stuff is powerful.I've recently gone cruelty free in all things, which means my favorite aerosol dry shampoos are no longer an option. I've never used a powder before and I assume all responsibility for my first uses of this product, which I'll get into, but I'm never going back to the other dry shampoos even if they do become cruelty free. For one thing, this shampoo has very little fragrance but the fragrance it does have is divine. There is absolutely no chemical smell whatsoever -- which can never be said for the cans. Also, at only one ounce it's already lasted twice as long as the others (I've had it about 5-6 weeks) and I'm not even halfway through it. You need such a tiny amount of this product and the application is beautifully precise, without the expense of most of the product dispensing all over the bathroom. I was worried at first about its efficacy but that turned out to be absolutely ridiculous.Where I had my issue was due to inexperience. I thought that because I always needed so much from the cans I would need a lot from the powder. Nope. The first time I used it I used way way too much and it worked so well I had to wash my hair because my scalp was so dry it was itching like crazy, and it had worked itself so well down the hair shaft I couldn't get a brush through it.Once this powder is in your hair, it keeps working long after application. And working. The second time I used it, I was far more conservative, but still used too much and cut in in half again. Now that I've gotten the hang of it I will never, ever use anything else. The best way to use it: Don't bother with the parts of your hair that won't be seen because this product will quickly work its way there. Use it only where you need it most, in sections *no smaller* than one inch. Depending on your hair type I may even go two inches (which I do -- I have fine, bleached hair but a lot of it). Trust me, after a small amount of time, the product will get there on its own. It also definitely gave my roots a lift.I can't say if the powder is visible or not because I have pastel pink hair, but when I would use any dry shampoo on my naturally dark hair (pre-bleaching), I found that if you use it the night before there is no whiteness at your scalp the next morning. I imagine the same should be true for this powder.Just buy it, teach yourself how to use it properly and be happy. It's actually a fraction of the cost of what I used to buy in cans now that I think about it (and way better for the environment). If I could buy stock in this company I would. Also -- the no-mess applicator is a thing of beauty. I wonder what else they've got? ;-D

Amazing!
I was looking for a replacement for my aerosol dry shampoo for a while.I have dark blond wavy hair so a good dry shampoo would help me cut the amount of washes per week.I received this product on May 30th, now we’re almost two months past and I still have a quarter of the volume left. I apply some of the powder on my second day after wash hair and then the magic happens: I don’t have to wash my hair or apply more for 3-4 days!!!My new routine looks like this now: I wash my hair on Sunday evening. On Tuesday morning I apply dry shampoo before work. Then I will wash my hair over the weekend if I’m going somewhere. This is crazy, but it’s true! My favorite thing so far<3

A little goes a long way
When I first tried this, I just pushed the sponge right to my head and that resulted in too much build up. I tried putting the powder on my fingers first and then rub it into my hair. This works best for me and this is now my favorite dry shampoo.

Works as a dry shampoo, or texturizer.
This does work as both dry shampoo, and hair texturizer for volume in fine hair. The press top is an interesting take on how to distribute the powder, and allows you to closely direct exactly where you want the dry shampoo in the hair. I won't continue to use this as my normal dry shampoo for two reasons. One: I find I prefer dry shampoo in spray format as I find I use less product and feel like it covers a larger amount of hair than this dry shampoo dispensing method. Two: This dry shampoo formula if gray in color, which I can see quite a bit within my blonde hair, and it seems to leave a thicker residue on my scalp which made me uncomfortable and itchy until it was washed out.

The sponge is there to save you
I read people complain about the sponge and I have realized that it’s there because you really only need so little. Aerosol sprays use so much to work properly. This product is one of those “less is more”. It’s best to use it at night before bed. The next day your hair looks airy and clean. If the day after that you feel greasy again just rub your scalp before you put anymore on. Usually you just need to rework it around. I found out how strong this is when I decided to use a toothbrush to scoop a tiny bit of the powder and sprinkle it on my head. BIG MISTAKE. My scalp was so insanely dry and itchy I had to wash it out. So that sponge really makes sure you use the right amount and evenly place it on your roots. I have black hair and I see no white residue when I use this which is really nice. The smell is very light and I usually flip the container upside down and give it a few taps before opening and using it.

Applicator is useless
This product smells nice as it is lightly scented and has cute packaging. Unfortunately, the applicator is useless. Applying it to your scalp takes a ton of work and continuous tap, tap, tapping on your head. I purchased a brush to apply it but the powder goes everywhere. Now I’m also out the price of the brush. If the seller has any ideas on how to make this work I would be happy to listen.

Where has this been my whole life
I’ve always used an aerosol dry shampoo, watched it turn my hair white then work it through the roots. This threw me off, there’s no white residue whatsoever yet it works phenomenally. I don’t know how, but it does. My hair doesn’t get that thick dry feel to it after using it either. Although I don’t detect any odor it may have a fragrance to it. Lastly I love that you can dab it in small areas, such as near the temples without wasting it where you don’t need it such as you would with an aerosol and overspray.

Leaves NO RESIDUE
I have very dark hair and have been searching for a dry shampoo that doesn’t leave a residue. This stuff is AMAZING. It works so well and leaves 0 residue. 10000% worth it
