Q: Can you put these side by side on an extension lead

As long as you don't exceed the wattage/ampage of the extension lead I don't see why not. They are as wide as a standard 13amp plug.

Q: The segments on this won’t go down am I using it wrong?

I have literally just rece6 these, I have other similar versions on this item, so I know how they work but these THREE items are faulty as the segments are completely immoveable. Amazon is just rubbish these days!

Q: Switch stays on all the time. I have followed the instructions and use the timer button on down position/segments are set correctly. Any ideas why?

I bought these and they are great. The segments are 15 minutes each so you can have switch on and off every 15 minutes. Make sure you set the dial at the right time when you plug it in. There's a notch slightly raised, turn that to the current hour now and the device clicks through automatically 24 hours. If you unplug or switch off you must set main notch every time otherwise leave it. Hope this helps x
