Needed for playing Wii on newer flatscreen
This converter works great. It would be great if it came with an hdmi cable, but I understand everyone's situation is different and they may not need the same length.

Remarkable product & price
For converting VHS tapes to digital video files, this device can’t be beat. Three RCA cables, an HDMI cable, a capture card and a computer combined with this device turns a 640x480 analog recording into your choice of an HD (1280x720) or FHD (1920x1080) digital file that any modern video player can handle. Caveat: such conversions produce images that are wider than true width, but that is an aspect ratio disparity that is not attributable to the hardware. This almost free device is better in every way than a different device I paid $70 for a few years ago to do the same job.

Works great but didn't come with the actual HDMI chord
I used it on my game cube and it worked totally fine, however it does not come with the actual HDMI chord. Luckily I had one laying around and you can also get them for cheap pretty much anywhere. I also had to plug the usb power chord into my iphone square which I then plugged into an outlet. Overall it works totally fine and does what it says but the wire set up is kind of messy. And the decrease in picture quality was expected but no big deal.

Best adapter ever!
The best adapter ever, for the best invention ever!I have a video game controller packed with the great video games: Pac Man, Galaga, and Pole Position. Awesome, right! But, its not perfect, it has an RCA cable - the kind with only a yellow and white cable. Its so primitive!. My TVs only have HDMI cables and like to stream, well ... they don't like analog cables. Worse yet, one tv has just one USB port which is powering its bias lighting.In steps this adapter!The USB cord plugged into a .5 W adapter that I already had...they're like Tribbles. I attached a photo in case you don't get the reference. My controller plugged right into the brightly colored analog ports, and then the adapter connected the HDMA side to my TV.Instant arcade!The colors actually seemed richer than before.

Works Well
I bought this to be able to connect my N64 to a tv with HDMI ports. The product works just as advertised. Keep in mind that you need to plug it in to a USB outlet to power this adapter. Not an issue for me but make sure you take this in to account. Most newer tv's have usb ports so this should not be an issue

Absolutely garbage if using for the Wii.
This product works for about 5 minutes. Then it back feeds static through the TV speakers. When I picked up the adapter I thought my TV was going to explode. The screeching sounds from my speakers almost caused me to go deaf. Adapter would not work properly after that. I even lost video. Might work good on other products but don’t buy this if it’s for the Nintendo Wii.
