Great Product
I was skeptical about buying this, however, I'm so glad I did. This is a game changer when boiling anything in a pot! it keeps it from boiling over on to the stove and prevents a huge cleanup. Because of the size, it fits on most of my pots so i only needed one. Great deal, great product! I'd recommend this for everyone!

Functional
This silicone lid works really well with a wide variety of pots. We haven’t had a boil over since we started using this.

I love it
I received one as a present years ago. I looked at it and thought it was way too big for my pots so didn't use it for a long time. Then one day I had something that kept boiling over even on low flame and I finally tried it out. I was hooked! Now I use it all the time. We purchased a winter home and it was one of the first things I ordered. No more boil-overs wiping out the flame and releasing propane gas all over. I no longer have to watch a pot come to boil and then turn down the flame (a watched pot never boils, LOL). I can walk away and know it will be safe. I am purchasing these as gifts--I think everyone should have one. Only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because, depending on what I'm cooking, it is sometimes difficult to get the food out of the grooves. Dishwasher takes care of it most of the time.

I love this extremely helpful accessory! IT WORKS!
Imagine being tired after a long day and still in the kitchen at the stove trying to juggle and dovetail getting your foods ready, all at the same time, and NOT having the added worry that your pasta or your potatoes will boil over while your focus needs to be on something else...like making sure your chicken for your Alfredo doesn't overcook. This accessory can give you that peace of mind. It is heavy, durable, dishwasher safe, and gives you peace of mind. I put this cover on my pasta pot as soon as I get my pot of water on the burner as it holds in enough heat to help the water come to a boil more quickly. Use your potholders to remove it because the lack of boil-over can be deceptive...once you lift this cover the steam is plentiful. I love it and my family hears all about how much I appreciate it every time I use it!

Works...somewhat; center cap is versatile
As noted by others, the center cap does not attach to the main lid, so you can’t hang them as a set; however, I've found that the center cap works great as a cover for miscellaneous bowls, so I store it separately anyway.I bought this specifically for making rice in a saucepan. For brown rice, it worked flawlessly. The lid formed a tight seal, with no steam escaping at all around the rim of the pot. The removable center cap vented more steam than a standard lid, but it retained enough steam to cook the rice properly. But...When I tried it with sushi rice, it didn't work as well. The more glutinous rice creates a lot more foam, and because the center cap isn't attached to the lid, the steam and foam knocked the center cap out of place, letting out an excessive amount of steam. In addition, when the rice had cooked and I took it off the heat to rest, the center cap inverted itself (see photo) and again let out an excessive amount of steam until I flipped it back down. In addition, the residue that was left on the lid after cooking was a pain to clean off due to the ridges on the top of the lid.I like the concept, but I'm not convinced this is the best design. I may try the popular Kuhn Rikon Kochblume model, although it's twice the price and doesn't have the versatile center cap.5/10/22 Update: Be sure to inspect the lid before using it. After using it for months, I had a small ring of silicone that came off when washing it today (see pic). It is obviously a remnant from when they stamped the holes during manufacturing... Not a big deal, but you don't want it coming off in the food you're cooking!

Spill overs are pretty much eliminated!
I had a similar product and I bought this for a friend when I was teaching her how to make rice pudding. It works well and saves a lot of messes from happening. This is easy to clean and use again and again.

Doesn’t work
I have been looking for something to stop the overflow for the longest time and I thought I finally found the trick! Well, it does not work! I walked away from boiling water, thinking that this will solve the problem and when I came back, there was water all over my stove top! I do not recommend!

It's decent
The only complaint is that it doesn't fit any specific pot but it does do what is stated on the instruction manual, it keeps water at bay when boiling.
