12 Argon Capsules - Can Work with Coravin By Following QR Instructions On Packaging - Argon Gas Capsule Refills - Wine Preservation

Terrible. Does not work with my Coravin at all. I have to soak an old Coravin cartridge in nail varnish to take of the black cap. When I screwed that cap onto the new cartridges and inserted it into my Carovin device, all the argon just escaped in seconds. I had to throw away all the cartridges. I’m going back to buying the Coravin branded argon cartridges.

I think these are great, provided you follow the instructions carefully to remove the caps from your old Coravin capsules (a one-time job). I'm on my second box of Ourgon capsules. Extra tip not mentioned in the instructions - wrap some PTFE tape (from Screwfix) around the screw thread before screwing on the cap - this stops the gas escaping when you insert the capsule into your Coravin.

Warning! Be aware these DO NOT work as supplied for Coravin’s. You apparently need to take the caps off your old Coravin gas cannisters by soaking them in nail varnish remover, or by buying the tool they can supply to remove them. I wasted 2 trying to get it to work but it just leaked the gas out of the holder. I then had a ball-bearing loose in the Coravin, so think I may have permanently damaged it. An expensive lesson!

This is exactly what is says on the box: 6.5g argon threaded cartridges. They work absolutely fine if you follow the instructions, which are linked to the QR code on the box. You do need to soak the Coravin capsue in acetone overnight to loosen the cap, which then needs to be screwed onto the Ourgon capsule with the tool provided. Don't believe the disinformation spread by people who clearly don't have the capacity or intention to read, understand and carry out these instructions.

I cannot believe they are selling these as an alternative to the incredibly expensive Coravin capsules. It's outrageous - useless and borderline dangerous, as they puff out gas when you put them in the Pivot. Has anyone succeeded in getting a refund? DO NOT BUY THESE!!

These work fine, but you need a little preparation. Firstly you need the tool to take the cap of the old bottle as you have to reuse it. That's easy enough of you buy the tool - or if you have a 3D printer you can download the file and print one yourself - easy enough to find on Google. You don't need to mess about cleaning the threads with nail varnish remover., it doesn't seal on the threads. The biggest catch is that there is small O-ring in the tip of the old cap. If you lose it, or if you overtighten the cap on the new capsule and it squeezes out, the capsule will leak all the gas out. Keep the O-ring in place and gently tighten the cap on the new capsule so the O-ring stays where it should, and it'll work fine.

Extremely annoying NOT really combatible with coravin so a waste of time and money.

These are about half the price of the alternative brand which equates to a considerable saving. Does need prep. You need a Coravin capsule, some nail varnish remover and the Ourgon removal tool (available on Amazon). Soak the capsule in varnish remover over night and then remove the black fitting using the tool and then screw on to the Ourgon capsule. Then works perfectly with the Pivot. Pretty straightforward and given the saving, well worth it. Recommended.

Gute Alternative zum Originial

Very happy with product, arrived and works as described-if you follow instructions & use the tool it works properly, which some reviewers may have missed. Do feel they may have 10-20% less gas than original Corivan canisters but at the price is not an issue. Am buying again.

Capsulas de gas argón para tu CORAVIN. Necesitan una mínima preparación así que no tires tus últimas botellas oficiales. Por el resto funciona estupendamente y tienen una relación calidad precio excelente. Quizá he notado que duran un poco menos, en cualquier caso, mucho más asequibles que las originales. Muy recomendables.
