Polytunnel Hotspot Tape: 30mm x 9m

This is a foam backed alleged sticky thermal tape. This was purchased as recommended by the seller of a polytunnel. It is supposed to protect the polythene cover from screw heads and tubing joints. It sticks to the metal tubing and after 10 - 15 mins it starts to un-peal itself. To resolve this I resorted to using electrical tape over the top of the alleged very sticky tape to keep it in place. This works well, sponge tape now held in place by electrical tape.May as well use foam strip and electrical tape both easier and cheaper.Certainly expensive for a poor quality adhesive tape, perhaps I was unlucky but I doubt it. I cannot recommend this item. Use an alternative tape!

For a 8ft x 13ft polytunnel you will require 2 rolls. Be careful fixing as it is very sticky and once it gets on fingers or other fixings, uh oh, you will lose some of the tape by wastage.I would recommend and would purchase more when the time comes

Used on my new poly tunnel very sticky, as soon as it touches it’s stuck. Only think after you have stuck it down don’t cut the end off the top pull off tape as it’s very hard to get the end to lift again, pull off past the place your going to cut.

The tape is easy enough to apply but bending it around the pole does not work well.It stays stuck on the top or main contact point, but lacks the flexibility to curve itself and stay stuck.

Needed a few extra rolls to finish off my new polytunnel…. these were much wider than the ones that came with the polytunnel and easier to use too! Recommend 👍

Would not stick to our brand new frame so had to improvise to get use our of it. Won't bother again

A must to apply to the bare areas of metal that comes into contact with the polythene. Easy to apply and a fair price.

I cannot rate this tape as the polytunnel blew away in the storm
