The media could not be loaded.  I would say it is fast with 30g of data being moved in a min is pretty good.

I own a Samsung 930pro with heat sync that came with the ssd i cannot remove it. The unit looks like it is deep enough to support it but like all these enclosures none of them tell you the minimum height inside the enclosure so it can be sealed so this one is too small inside had to be sent back and try another. That said, I tested it and it worked wonderfully and was even able to use it on my ps4 as an external usb hdd, the only issue I can’t seal it up. So sending it back and trying my luck with another again none of these tell you the internal dimensions height wise so i may have to try many. The ssd is .33 inches high or 8.5 mm this units internal space is too small for this ssd all because of the built in heatsync that's the only problem.

I was a bit afraid that using this device would not be easy, but to my surprise everything worked just fine.The instructions that came with the deice was also very helpful. I think it is must for someone who is concerned with the ability to retrieve sensitive data from the hard drive. Like in my case, the computer had no video output and I had to send it back to manufacture.

I had a few drives just setting around and have purchased two varieties of this enclosure to use with them. These work very well and make great fast portable alternatives to pen drives. If you format the drive using exFAT the drive can even be used with your android phone or tablet. I'm not sure if this holds true for Apple or Mac products so do your research. These things are faster than my fastest sd card in my Samsung Tablet. I love them.

Honestly I wasn't sure if this didn't work or if the SSD was just faulty, but it was not easy to put in, and the squishy screw was very difficult to figure out

Even my usb free adapter that came with one of my M2 drives gave over 1000MB/s. My M2 drive is a gen 4 capable of speeds over 5000MB/s I did also try others with the same outcome. I don’t know what’s wrong with this enclosure but it is not as advertised. Do not buy The max write speed with included cable was 12MB/s yes 12!! Total waist of time now I have to go through this new return crap with the local ups being over 30 miles away for a 16$ Item. This is my first strong bad review because it seems like amazon has been flooded with items with false advertising. You could argue its only 16$ but that's what they want is for you to not go through the return so they make money.

The device worked fine for a couple weeks and then just started shorting out. Seller reached out and provided a solution to the problem

Wir haben dieses M2 SSD Gehäuse gekauft um die alte M2 500 GB SSD auf eine neue 2 TB M2 SSD mit Samsung Magican zu clonen was mit dem Gehäuse auch wunderbar geklappt hat.Nun werkelt die alte 500 GB M2 SSD als schnelle Zusatz-SSD zuverlässig und schnell.Keinerlei Fehler bei der Datenübertragung.Bleibt auch relativ kühl.Eine gute Investition.

Got this and a drive for our son's Chromebook for extra storage as it didn't have much really.It did take some messing around to get the Chromebook to read it but eventually I managed to do it.Installing a drive was simple enough and quickly done.The device seems well made, looks sleek and not to big so he can also carry it in his laptop bag.I haven't had any issues with it getting to hot and it seems to perform pretty well for what he needs.For £19.99 I find this a good price and wouldn't hesitate to buy another when needed 👍
