Olive Wood Traditional Backgammon Set - 19" Olive Wood Chips for 2 Players, Ages 12+

The set is shipped from Greece. It is exceptionally well wrapped and protected for the long journey; it arrived without a scratch and in new condition.The set looks similar to the photo and is very well made. The craftsmanship is excellent; the joints and hinges are tight. The inlaid wood beautiful. There are natural blemishes that are a part of the olive wood and not the manufacturing process. You can see that attention was paid to the construction of the set. The backgammon checkers are olive wood too. Two pairs of dice (oddly, different sizes) are included along with a doubling cube. One dice cup is also included.The set came with a nice fabric bag (thick), not with the thin material bag seen in the photograph which was a pleasant surprise. The checkers are stored in the bag; there is no storage rack/slot with this set. This is normal for a Greek set.We are quite happy with this set and it’s quality.

The look, feel, smell and sound of this set are incredibly amazing. Also I received my shipment in California only 4 days after placing the order. I passionately recommend this product !!

I did not quite know what to expect in spite of the positive comments and manufacturer’s warning: “not to expect perfection”.The set is perfect in all respects. The size, the finish, the packaging and shipping (it arrived Feb 21 instead of March 11). I am blown away as the set exceeded my expectations; its a backgammon set of a lifetime!

When I ordered the set, It estimated that I would receive it between 3 - 6 weeks. I figured, it was just a game and the price was reasonable so no big deal, I'll wait. To my surprise, it arrived in approx 5 days.It is just as nice as previous purchasers described. Packaging, craftsmanship even the box is nice. The smell of the olive wood is also nice. Hats off to the craftspeople and business people behind this one.
