Magicians, Martyrs and Madmen Tarot Cards – October 1, 2023

Cardstock could've been better bc all his cards before have been great but it's not the worst either. The gold edging is a yellow gold and wonderful artwork not AI on the fronts. Very stunning work. And very informative on every person, people, object. Highly recommend but not for the faint of heart. Not RWS type it's all people good, bad, and saints so bit different. Even the Titanic is in this deck. Love it for all history buffs as well.

I was a bit scared of this deck as I did a glance through. BUT....Then I started reading the book. WOW! it is SO clear as to why these people were chosen for each card. Please read the card info and spend a little time learning. Then reading the deck is so easy and meanings easy to remember.This deck is as expected, for researching on negative questions, situations, and people.The quality of the card paperstock is very easy to work with and the size is good for smaller hands.I will be buying this deck as a gift for my daughter. I found that the author has developed a new deck about the Bee that is on preorder as of December 2023.

This deck is gorgeous and very well thought out. I am so impressed. I know some of the characters are pretty mean but they are real. The interpretations add depth and fullness to the cards. I love them.

First I have to say that I'm not sure why some folks do not like this deck, I think it is amazing. I love the lay out of the cards, the famous people on the cards and the card stock is very flexible. I highly reccomend this deck and I am a huge fan of Travis.

I purchased this from the Amazon warehouse at a discount due to damaged box. Basically the ribbon wasn’t attached properly and flops toward the bottom of the box instead of being a nice pull to get the cards out easy. Thats fine. Damage was not so bad and fixable. What wasn’t ok was that one of the cards had been bent in half and had obvious damage even when shuffling with my eyes closed. It feels different, moves different and I worry it’ll tear in half. No mention of this at all in the description. The rest of the deck is exciting and beautiful. Not sure I want to even try anymore used or damage box products though.

When I found out this tarot deck was going to be released by Rockpool, I rushed and got it since I had missed the Kickstarter campaign. The deck is very well crafted and it has what appears to be gold borders, but they don't shine or glitter, they are made of some kind of matte material (I guess publishers are now going eco-friendly.) The book is 102 pages (not 128) it's in color, and the writing is very brief (I was expecting it to be longer and explain more about the people in that deck. I know there is a longer more detailed book out there with 71 characters rather than 80, Maybe Rockpool will publish it? But 71 out of 80? What about the rest of the people in that deck? Who knows. Somehow the copywriting and copyediting have mistakes in them. At first, I thought it was me, but then I lent it out to friends of mine who are professionals in the English language (educators, editors, journalists, etc.) and even they had problems reading through the book and pointed out a lot of mistakes, so it did make it a bit difficult to follow through. The art on the cards looks a little off, some look pixilated, while others look too grainy (rushed editing) (Hence my rating of stars.) I had to resort to Wikipedia to learn more about them. This tarot deck does have a mix of people who did good things and others who did awful things (serial killers, murderers) If you're into that kind of energy, then go for it. Keep in mind that they are included on a more spiritual level.
