This installed quickly even with baseboards. Seems sturdy & well made. Our 15 pound cubby kitty fits through the opening fine. This was my major concern. Easy to open door once you do it a couple times. Nice not to have to pickup food all the time to keep the dogs from gobbling it up.

We use this to keep our big dogs out of the living room but let the cats though so they have a safe place. It gets a lot of human through traffic with us. We just used the tension installation and were concerned how sturdy it would be but it has held up perfectly! Cats had no issue passing though despite their hefty girth :)

It's sturdy and fit well within my door frame, but we purchased it to keep our small dog out of our bedroom while still letting the cat through. Unfortunately they are too close in size and the adjustable door let the cat through but also let the doggo through.

We added this gate so the dog can't get into the cat's room. Super easy to put together, sturdy, easy to use and love the auto shut feature. Sidenote - The dog continues to try to fit through there with no luck so far 😂😂😂

Great gate, easy install, super sturdy (without extensions). But the pet door is only 7.5 x 7.5 inches when fully opened, not the 8.9 x 10.6 inches that's stated in the description. I got this gate specifically because of the pet door dimensions, as I needed to be able to allow our dachshund through, but not my baby. The dog fits, but just.

We are very happy with this gate. Use it on our covered porch to keep the dogs on the but still allow the cats out. Sturdy and opens and closes as described. Easy to open but not so easy that the toddler can open it! We use it as a temporary install when family is visiting. The caution about not cutting the one zip tie before it is installed made me wonder because obviously the zip tie would be gone for subsequent installations. I would recommend leaving it on when you first install it but simply pay attention to why it is there and you should have no problem. In fact, after I removed it, I put my own zip tie back on it for easier reinstall.

High quality gate. Easy to open and close. It will soft close behind you or stay open if you leave it open wide - which helps when carrying laundry, etc down the stairs. Works great to allow our cats access to the litter box - but keep large dogs out. We bought this specific gate for our very large 20 pound cat. He can fit through the cat door great - which was difficult to find on other gates.
