Great Dovetail Bits
These kind of things work best with a router table (as opposed to a free standing router like mine). And of course, it helps to know how to measure your cuts. But as far as the bits, these are fine router ribs.

Great for a dovetail jig...
This router bits work get with a dovetail jig to provide that custom built 90 degree corner connection on all of your wood projects. The bits out of the box are sharp and cut into even the heaviest of oaks with ease but after a while of use will require sharpening which wasn't super hard if you know what you are doing around a sharpening bit. They work at various speeds depending on your wood type and needs and haven't "burnt" any wood pieces yet.

Very good bits
As an amateur woodworker, I wanted to get a set of dovetail bits so I could learn. I’ve got a long learning curve ahead of me, but am really happy to find these at this price point. They cut through wood like butter. I have a router that requires 1/2” shanks but have a 1/4” collar so I use that. I’ve used this brand’s router bits before and I prefer them over other bits.

Not bad... Not great, but OK
The media could not be loaded. By itself, this set of dovetail router bits can be used for making half-blind and rabbeted half-blind dovetail joints, which are mainly used for drawers. These bits are for cutting the TAIL part of a dovetail joint.Straight bits (not included in this set) are required to cut the PIN part. Without the PINs, Through Dovetail Joints cannot be made (with a router). A Through Dovetail Joint is the strong, attractive corner joinery method that is usually seen on boxes or chests. These bits have 1/4" shanks. The router bit shank is the solid, cylindrical part of a router bit. It's the part of the bit that goes into the collet of the router. There are two common sizes of router bit shanks: 1/4" and 1/2". Bits with 1/2"-dia. shanks provide better stability with less vibration, and they typically produce a smoother cut and have longer cutter life. Most router bits have cutting edges made from high-speed steel (HSS) or carbide tips fused to the bit. Most of the profile bits will have carbide cutters, which are harder than steel and will hold an edge longer – 10 to 25 times longer – but also are more brittle. So while carbide-tipped bits are preferable, you must handle and store them carefully to avoid chipping the cutters. The advertising here for this item says that these "router bits are all upgraded KOWOOD C3 carbide". Carbide grading can be confusing, but C3 is generally good for finishing. It's hard and has good wear resistance.High-quality router bits have carbide cutters that have been sharpened to a fine edge and that are thick enough to allow for multiple regrindings. The brazing that joins the carbide tip to the bit should appear even. And high-quality bits will incorporate a design that minimizes the risk of workpiece kickback. These anti-kickback bits have more body mass, and their enlarged bodies prevent the bits from biting too deeply and catching on the material. Greater body mass also helps to dissipate heat and keep the bits sharp longer.Price can be an indicator of quality. In general, you get what you pay for.The video shows the 3/4" dovetail bit in use in a DeWalt router with a Porter-Cable dovetail jig. There's a lot of sawdust, but the final picture clearly shows the result. There's a small amount of breakage (tearaway), but that minor damage is usually hidden by glue, putty, stain and sanding. For the price, these are a steal. Quality is OK, and with care and cleaning after use (to remove gums and oils), they should last a few years.

Second Set of KOWOOD
This is my second set of KOWOOD bits and I gotta say, they are way better than you'd expect at this price point. Smooth bite, no burn, and have kept their edge for a couple of projects. I don't know how long they will last but while they're here they are worth more than what I paid.

Work great and good value
At their price point, I was a bit skeptical of how well these router bits would work, but so far, I am pleased with them. I used the 1/2" bit to route a grid pattern for Microjig hold down clamps in 3/4" baltic birch plywood. The bit cut cleanly with minimal tear-out or burning and left smooth grooves that worked perfectly with the clamps. I have not tried the other bits from the set and do not know how long they will remain sharp, but based on this test, I am very confident that they will be useful for light duty tasks. At $13.59 for the set they are a very good value and I recommend them for someone like myself who only has occasional use for dovetail bits.

Seem Good at First Use
What we really want to know about lesser known router bit brand names is how they perform over time. Do they dull quickly; are they well balanced, are the bearings good; will the carbide fly off and hit us? The problem is, we are prompted for reviews when we first receive a new product. So, I will say that everything about these bits looks good; they spin evenly in my router and cut a crisp pattern. There is no wobble or squeal from the bearings. The yellow color is cheerful and reminds me not to put them in the box with router bits of another brand. How they will perform in the long run, I don't know, and even over time it's a little hard to measure as each bit is used in different woods for varying runs, etc. Still, if I run into any obvious problems I will endeavor to revisit this review and revise it. For the time being, I am quite pleased to have these bits expanding my collection, as cost is always a deterrent to purchasing every one I would like to have. These are cheap enough that I'm willing to take the chance on longevity. At least I will have the profile I need when I need it.

Inexpensive set for varying thicknesses.
This is a GREAT set for the woodworker just getting started! Always having the right size at hand keeps the work flowing and the project going. I might need to get another set for my Dad.
