These work great for pattern cutting but I purchased them to use with my dovetail jig. The bearings are 1/2 inch and I needed 7/16 for my jig. That's my fault, not thiers.

The shanks are longer, improving the collet grip.

I am always looking for additional bits to add to my router bit collection. These come in a nice case and are painted, not sure how long the paint will last with repeated use, but who cares, it doesn't affect performance.The have a 1/4" shank, making them compatible with a wide variety of routers. I had no problem using them and setting up with my routing jig to cut dovetails in my projects.

Fits my need. Casual use so I'll never have info about there longevity but they do cut cleanly.

These bits were used for making secret top boxes. They worked perfectly. The sliding dovetail worked well without any noticeable joints. I would buy again.

I picked this set up for the 1/2" bit as I was building a set of drawers using my ancient Porter Cable dovertail jig and it worked like a champ through 10 drawers. I did have to do some minor clearing of pitch every now and then but for the low cost of these bits it was well worth it. I had never needed these in the past so paying a lot of money for them to sit in the drawer seemed a waste to me, this set really solved that problem. I have many other Kowood branded bits and they have not failed me so I was pretty confident this set would work out as well as it did. They came well packaged so no damage due to bouncing around which I greatly appreciate these days.

I'm always on the lookout for new router bits. I've found something I didn't have in this set. Two dovetail bits with a top mount bearing. One is 1/2" and the other is 5/8". They each have a 1/4" shaft. The C3 carbide looks to be good quality but the paint job is a liner to protect the bits from being chipped.sloppy. I am not sure how much that will effect the bit over long time usage. It may be hard to keep it clean. They come in a nice storage box made of soft plastic with a foam liner to protect the bits from chipping while being stored.
