Many times felting kits come with several needles but needles tend to break. Also I find that kits often come with needles where the needle sizes are not labeled. I like this package because it includes four sizes of needles and the needles are clearly labeled. Sixty needles ensure that I will be able to complete a felting project without running out of needles. The package also contains two wooden needle holders and finger covers which are really helpful for protecting your fingers against accidental jabs.

Great assortment of different size needles, if you know why you need the different size needles. I don't; I just go through needles like mad because I have a basic essential tremor that can make felting a little tricky. The leather thimbles are useful, but I double-up when I can,'cause I poke my fingers a lot.

Good thing there were a lot of needles with this set, because they broke incredibly easily. I've never had needles that kept breaking like this. Even the large ones snap with no pressure. And the mat that came with it went flat after a week of use.

This needle felting kit actually LABELED their needle sizes, which I LOVE. I don't know how many needle felting kits I've used where they tell me which size needle to use for what, but never tell me which needles are which size! This one has them all labeled, and I couldn't be happier with that. There are a bunch of needles in all the sizes, enough to keep me happy for a long time and worth the price alone. I was a bit disappointed in the pad, though, which is just a piece of foam with a wool case. Instead of being wool all the way through, the foam will be broken down from needles and will get looser, not tighter with use.
