The only thing that is difficult is making sure the Betta can’t jump out the top. Rooting plants works perfectly for filling feeding/breathing opening. It’s just a little too big for me to feel comfortable.Beautiful real glass is easy to clean. The led light is white (my picture looks purple). The bowl sits on the base. Very nice simple 3 piece design. Keep slightly under filled, as seen in the picture. It allows the food to float freely, and Bettas do need surface access to breathe.

This may not be the fanciest bowl on the market but I find it to have some sleek modern quality to it. It is a standard fish bowl but the stand and lid gives it that extra "umph". The lid does require three AA batteries to run the LED light and at first it looks fantastic but as the battery drains the lights get dimmer and dimmer so I would recommend some long lasting batteries.I personally got this bowl for my dorm room at college and I find it to be the perfect size, not too big, not too small. Just enough room to put in a little decoration.

We bought this for my daughter as a first pet fishbowl based on positive reviews. It is a cute bowl and just the right size (theoretically) for a smallish bedroom. When we got to the pet store to talk about setting up the bowl and adding a Betta, we found that Betta fish don't do well in .5 gallons, and that they need a heater and filtration in order to stay healthy & happy in the long run. This one is going back, and now we have a 5 gallon tank with filter and heater -- more than I bargained for, but I'd rather give my kids a healthy fish that lives a long time instead of a nasty surprise floating at the top of the bowl.

I bought this for a betta fish my daughter “won” at a party. Unsure of how healthy he was, I didn’t want to buy a huge tank like we’ve had for our past betta fish. This has served its purpose of making a better living space than the plastic container he came in. He seems to be thriving. We will need to upgrade to a larger space eventually. This bowl has been easy to clean, the light is bright & he has learned to eat when it comes on. Great for temporary housing or a start up. I know some people posted concerns about the opening being too big, however we haven’t had any issue. Our cat doesn’t go on the table so he doesn’t even know the fish is there and I’ve yet to see a betta jump from any tank we have had (not that they can’t).

Had these before and the lights gave out. The fish are so happy to have new ones. One Betta to a bowl. Yes, they're small but it's all that that a Betta needs. Get a little aquarium tubing and they're easy to clean. The fish are happy and that makes me happy.

Perfect size. The light is awesome for a nightlight in child’s room too!

No self-respecting person would put a fish in this. I even felt bad raising my fish's food (blackworms) in this. It BARELY fits the tiniest sponge filterI don't think you could even fit a baseball in this thing

Couldn’t be happier. You need to clean it every two weeks. I put more rocks in it at first and ended up only with about 10-20 on the bottom. Plenty of room for our families first pet fish Luke.
