This should be an essential in most kitchens
I love cooking and baking but I absolutely hate the feeling of flour on my hands and in my fingers so I have to wear gloves all the time. So this helps me be all that much further away from the flour when doing pastry and I don’t have to worry about my hand being too or or too cold. It does the job it was intended for and I know it’s a pastry blender but I’ve even used this to combine the mix for Welsh Cakes which worked a treat.

WHAT DID I DO BEFORE I BOUGHT THIS ?
Have been making pastry for nigh on 50 years. Lately I have been suffering from arthritis in my shoulders and hands so needed help to rub the butter into the flour. Saw this and decided to give it a try. It's brilliant. Got to the breadcrumb stage within a few minutes without much effort. Easy to wash as well. Am going to try mashing the potatoes for dinner tonight as well. Don't know what I did without it !!!

Great find
I have had one of these pastry blenders for many years and use it regularly but, due to wear and tear, it needed replacing. I have tried other brands but none where as good as Tala. Therefore I tracked down a supplier and am very happy with my purchase

GrT little gadget
This is great especially if you have any type of pain in your hands or fingers and have trouble rubbing butter and other fats into flour as you can just grip the handle and mas it in. I also used it for mashed potatoes and it was better than a conventional masher. Easy to clean in hot soapy water.

Useful if you have issues with your fingers or you struggle to crumb butter and flour
This is easy to use but not sure I would change from old school rubbing butter into flour because of it, butter can clog in between metal strips, have read reviews saying it has changed peoples lives, maybe if I had issues with my fingers, for instance arthritis then it would be a gadget that could be helpful, have used to start my mashed potatoes or mashed carrot which worked well, then finished with a normal masher

It does the job.
I purchased this for making my rock cakes and pastry. Maybe it was the quantity of flour I used, but I didn't find it to be quite so easy to use as when I was given one year's ago. It does the job, but I felt that this was not as thick or robust as my previous one from Woolworths, or as comfortable to hold.

easy to use
Easy to blend your ingredients for a rubbing in method, and saves it getting under your fingernails! Works well

Great for making pastry breadcrumbs
Great for making pastry breadcrumbs! So much easier than forking or using fingers. Would recommend.
