18 year old grumpy Cat loves it!
My elder cat loves these. He screams at me to feed him one anytime I'm near the box! Love the variety pack, he loves all the flavors. He will be 18 this year. He's been having trouble eating hard cat food, so I'm kind of switching to a soft food diet for him, this product is definitely making the transition easier. He doesn't like any other soft cat foods. And this tiki cat has it all blended up so he doesn't have to chew. I have it set to be delivered every 2 weeks, that's how much he loves it.

Love the food and packaging hate the price
The cat loves this food and won't eat anything else except Ian's dry food. I don't know what they put in it or why it is only this exact precise flavor and absolutely none other that my cat will eat. I think my cat would starve if I tried to feed it anything else because I have tried briefly to feed it other food and it won't even smell it. What I don't like about this food is that it costs a lot. So that takes me back to wondering what on earth do they put in this food. I wish we could make cats and dogs vegetarians. As I am a vegetarian it turns me off a lot to be feeding these carnivores what I'm feeding them and I'll just leave it at that. The price makes me wonder if fish eggs or other specialty items are contained in these pricey bags. One thing I also would prefer to see is smaller bags because I don't usually want to empty the whole bag for my cat. He doesn't want to eat the whole bag usually but if you don't want to give him the whole bag you have to have a way to store the remaining portion of the bag and I can't help but feeling like just folding the top over and pinching it shut with something is really keeping this expensive goodness inside. So please make smaller bags for those who might like it. Sheba already does this with their food. Side note my cat will eat Sheba and only one precise variety of course, so I might go back to Sheba hint hint if I can't get tiki cat in smaller portions hint hint. Anyway this is just a strange review from a strange woman who doesn't really understand why this cat food is so expensive.

Subscriber, super happy with this food.
Our senior rescue Persian/British mix thrives on this. She has difficulty eating lots of food types, due to her extreme flat face, but this pate style works well. The after-dark version has organ meat, which I really value. Highly recommended.

Love the contents, hate the packaging
The formula is excellent. High protein and extra nutritious, which is why we love TikiCat. But I really wish this was packaged in anything other than a pouch.Opening the pouch without scissors causes some of the liquid to splatter. The food is quite viscous, so squeezing it out is a bit time consuming compared to cracking open a can.You can never truly squeeze everything out, which makes the remaining food go to waste. I really hate to see a product this good go to waste, and my cats don’t either, which is why I end up cutting off the top and bottom to expose the interior of the pouch so my cats can lick off the remainder.

He'll eat some of the flavors
Tiki Cat after dark variety pack - I couldn't get his favorites in a separate pack, so I went for the variety pack. He won't each the plain chicken, but loves the duck and the quail egg. Beef is a so-so he'll eat on occasion. I have no idea how someone would rate "flavor" in the suggested amazon ratings. I don't have a habit of tasting cat food. I also don't own a lab, so I can't judge ingredient quality. They don't contain grain, fruit or vegetable filler which is important if you are trying to feed a cat that doesn't eat enough. They also don't have fish or seafood which hopefully will help with thyroid issues. Things I like about it are: It has more moisture than canned foods. It's a mousse, which makes it easier to eat for my geriatric cat. These are some of the foods my finicky kitty will eat when he's on a campaign to improve the menu. Cons: The pouches are messy and you'll have to figure out a way to get the product out without leaving half of it behind. I'm using a wide spatula to squeeze the last bits out. That gets messy in a hurry. My cat eats only a third to a half pouch per feeding. So I have to store the open pouch in a zippy bag. The tear off top is a tiny bit too high to comfortably fit a standard sandwich bag. The tear off has become better but some pouches still end up with only half the top torn and have to be cut to remove the top completele. (i.e. scissors with cat food on them will need to be washed.) Tiki Cat really needs to work on the boxes they ship their pouch products in. They are flimsy and I have yet to receive one that wasn't mangled to bits inside the shipping package. If you think they are just designed as display boxes for stores, they are too fragile for that even. People who stock the store shelves shuffle the loose pouches into one of the few working boxes they have.
